We first arrived to The Sheeps' Head Inn in December last year, after all day cycling Mizen Head. It was dark, cold and we found the most friendly atmosphere in there we could imagine. A bed and breakfast as well as a pub, the Sheeps Head Inn is the place to stay in Durrus, off-season. Sinead and Pat, the owner, are extremely welcoming. It's charming and affordable, the food is very good, service is exceptional with great, laid-back hospitality. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. When I arrived late on a freezing evening... I must comment on the service first, it was Sinead who welcomed us first. a coffee and washroom break, which quickly turned into an evening of fun, drink and good food. A most memorable evening to say the least. Sinead not only gave us directions, she also found us a nice b&b which we loved. What a great recommendation. We... More

A group of us stopped off here yesterday after a hillwalk on the nearby Sheeps Head peninsula. There was very nice selection of food on offer, the staff couldn't have been more friendly. They lit the fire especially for us as well. The food was delicious, great value and huge portions just what was needed after a long day. Great... More

Had a couple of nice meals there during our weeks holiday. The beer is good, customers and staff are friendly. Have eaten here many times during our holidays to Durrus and have never been disappointed.

Friendly welcoming staff, tasty food and great value. The location in central Schull is perfect after a walk or as an evening dinner location followed by a drink if you wish.

We called into the Sheep's Head bar for a spot of lunch whilst in the area visiting family. They were at the end lunch service and the bar was quiet however, we had a warm friendly welcome from the lady at the bar. For lunch I had the very excellent stir fry with mushroom sauce and my wife had the... More
