We spent a very pleasent evening in this quaint old pub. The owner was most friendly as was his staff. Freely offered sausages, and the use of wooden puzzles. During the evening we browsed some old 'photo albums - relived days gone by! No TV or piped music - great. A piano player entertained us later.

We stopped here for lunch on the spur of the moment as it displays an Illy coffee sign, my favourite, and were so glad that we did. We immediately felt at home in this unusual yet typical Irish pub, with it's unique decor and friendly welcome. The food was great but even more important, especially for the ladies, the toilets were... More

In there we felt like home. We got the feel with bartender and also with the owner, who showed us some photos from history of the pub. When we were leaving he even gave us a CD of his daugter's which was by the way excellent and we immediately ordered the newer one she recorded when we got home. Also... More

We stopped at Killeen's pub just for a meal. The interior is quite fascinating - all the souvenirs, photographs, paintings, vows and verses on leaflets all over the walls make this place really unique. If I think strictly as regards cleanliness, ceiling needs to be repainted, but that would ruin the soul of that place, so let it be like... More

The owner of our B&B recommended Killeen's; we had been considering dining at another place, but he said this one was better and more reasonable priced. It was an excellent recommendation! It's an unassuming place, not fancy, but we had some of the friendliest service there of our whole Ireland vacation. My daughter asked what white wines were available, and... More

This place gives you a pretty good idea of what kind of institution an Irish village pub is, or used to be. It's a loud, noisy and atmospheric pub with good and simple food and with an attached shop that sells everything from cement to buttermilk, from whiskey to fishing implements. We happened to be here at the birthday party... More

We didn't eat at Killeens, we were here for the trad session and the Guinness. The session was informal with locals and visitors joining in as the night went on. People arrived with a variety of instruments and just blended in to the group as it grew bigger. The place is a gem and the people who run it know... More

Killeens pub is a wonderful visit. The food is cooked fresh and the "toasted black pudding"sandwiches are the food of legend. Great selection of beer and you can "Shop-N-Drink". It's a really amazing place for music and craic. Couldn't recommend a visit high enough.

Went in and just loved it, old irish pub and a thousand welcomes. Worth the visit, and we're organising a trip back there with friends. Staff behind the bar were so friendly, was sitting T the bar for a few minutes on my own, and he me feel so "at home"

Kileen's is the ultimate Irish experience. It's a shop and pub and where else can you sup your beer between the Brillo pads and grapefruit segments whilst listening to Irish Music. Amazing atmosphere and service...........brilliant. I didn't eat but hear it's great.
