top notch service, food and view

Seafood empanadillos were soooo good. The spicy sauce they have on the table is amazing. This was my favorite restaurant that I visited while I was in Puerto Rico by far!

I took my mom to my hometown crown jewel of restaurants. This is my friend's Wicho restaurant so I felt right at home. You cannot find fresher seafood than at Salitre. The food was great, the ambiance is nice, and the sunset is breathtaking. We live right next to Salitre so it is our backyard we were sharing with the... More

This is a must visit restaurant whener you visit the Arecibo area. This is a straight up seafood restaurant and the food presentation is modern.

Near the lighthouse. Big and free parking. View large waves . Rest. full, 2pm, feb8,2015 . We attended a very friendly and attentive Argentina . Ordered sorullitos $ 4 corn , plantain soup $ 4, for the baby. Chicken Rice mamposteado $14, taste good, to my husband. For me , Iberoamerican breast ( yellow plantains stuffed with sausage ) with... Good food, nice view, fair service, but extremely expensive. I'll look for another restaurant next time in the area... Two fried fish "chillos", one small, one medium, one beer, one bottle of water, one small "calamares" ... $122.00 w/taxes. Ridiculous!! .. First and last time!!

It's a shame that a restaurant with an excellent view has a service and quality of food so poor. Let's be honest, fish and shellfish are fresh, but seasoning is not the best. The best way to eat a snapper is deep friend and if seasoning is good, you don't need to add lemon to it. in my case, "I... More

I love seafood and this is one of the best! While there, two fishermen came to bring their catch of the day. My husband and I visited Salitre the first day of the year and it was not too crowded. Service is excellent and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and different kinds of seafood. She brought to... More

Arrived at 2 PM on a Thursday so avoided the crowd. Unlike other reviewers we were seated promptly and exited the restaurant at about 3 PM. We sat outside with a front row seat of the pounding waves. We came for fish and were not disappointed. We had grilled red snapper (large piece) and stuffed dorado (recommended. Both were excellently... More

1st visit; very happy it opens on Monday; things looked promising at the entrance; casual cafeteria style layout; no wait; very slow day; staff was attentive and knowledgable; FOOD WAS EXCELLENT! Very fresh fish; but prices are on the high side. Would expect a better ambiance for the money.

We stopped in here when in the area. We were a party of eight and they had only two other tables of two for mostly the whole time we was there. It took a very long time for food to arrive after we ordered (probably 1 hr +/-). The fish was great. I had the yellowfin tuna with a garlic... More
