I ate their once. It wasn't that good I expected from the reviews I read. i didn't like the food but maybe because i am a western guy. Though, the service was excellent.
I’ve stayed and dined at the Alia Ubud so was very excited to visit Uluwatu. The views of the ocean and cliffs from this property are amazing. This is a modern architectural hotel however it had no Balinese feel about it. I like minimalistic however this property is sterile. The Warung is Indonesian cuisine. You can dine outdoors or indoors.... More
I went there with friends. First time we step into the hotel directly being escort by the bellboy at the lobby entrance(he is great,he tried to make us feel welcome) when we enter the restaurant we choose the table in the center, the waitress who served us(the pregnant lady)completely have no idea what is on the menu as she try... By a million miles the best Indonesian food we had. We went there for my birthday meal and I can honestly say the food was exceptional. Perfectly cooked, amazing cliff top views and fabulous unique cocktails with excellent vegetarian food too. The staff were very friendly although my only criticism was that they were slightly over attentive. Having said that,... More
We dined there one night, and had the Set Menu, food was great, staff their well presented. Explained every dish on arrival.
The Warung is a little pricey for Indonesian food, but the quality and the full bodied flavours of the food, make the worth the price. The portions are also generous enough to fill one's stomach. Traditional Dishes like Bebek Goreng Bali and Gado Gado are outstanding. The only traditional dish that was a little disappointing was the Indonesian sate. But... More
Amazing food, incredibly friendly staff (was advised to share a single serve of one of the degustation meals - sage advice), stunning location. Actually the friendliness of the staff is worth repeating. Get in and have a chat to the chefs in the open kitchen too!
An evening visit to the beautiful Alila Villas was topped off with sundowners in a private daybed, with cocktails. The complimentary bar snacks were incredible & a great interlude to the delicious dinner ahead. We were able to dine in the daybed location, selecting from the local delicacies from the extensive Warung Restaurant menu. Tip: Request the 'full' Indonesian menu,... More
