We had just spent the day travelling to the area from San Jose and selected Las Brisas since it was close (walkable) from where we were staying. The food was hot, service prompt and accommodating for 5 of us. I can't recall what any of us had, so it obviously wasn't superb or our best meal while in the area,... More

This is a really cool little place on the beach. They excellent ceviche and beers as well as cocktails and lunch plates, and their deck is a perfect refuge during an afternoon shower. The crowd is a good mix of locals and tourists.

We visited Las Brisas by walking down the beach from our rented condo on Playa Potrero. It's exactly what you would want in a beach bar/restaurant. Nice people, fresh food and cold drinks. There are fresh seafood dishes, tacos and fajitas, chips and salsa or guacamole, etc. We sat at a pub table and just hung out and watched the... More

Stopped here our first night and liked this nice little spot for the decent food, better than average mojitos, and drop dead gorgeous sunset! My husband raved about the tuna sandwich and my son loved the chicken fajitas. We also enjoyed the mojitos, Imperial, and the waitress Caterleena! A great value for a nice spot on the beach!

Great location to watch the sunset. The menu looks incredible but there was only one server and they prepared our shrimp cocktail and served it at the same time as our main course which was rice with seafood, so we had to ask for it to be taken back and served once we had finished the other dish.

I recently visited ( 28 November) this place. We were 6 in total ( 2 kids). The restaurant has top views of the sea shore, a small marina and a very nice sunset. Small cozy and unpretentious atmosphere. The selection of dishes was good so it was dispointing to see the cooking somhow unmatching the rest. I ordered blackened tuna.... More

I think I may had my hopes up. This was recommended by two locals. We went fairly early on a Wed evening. And they were out of half their specials. How can you be out of your specials by 6:00? And there were only 5 tables of people. I know they like to keep only fresh fish. But again, I... More

There are only a few restaurant options during the rainy season and Las Brisas is one of them. We had two very good meals there last week. Standard fare - quesadillas, guacamole, shrimp tacos. My husband had a fantastic special off the black board which was like a paella. Drinks were also very nice- we had margaritas, piña coladas and... More

This authentic Costa Rican restaurant is right on the lovely sand beach of Playa Potrero. Delicious food and diverse menu items. Easy to have a very long leisurely lunch at this spot!

Had lunch at Las Brisas, food was not overly impressive...calamari app was very salty and rubbery, overcooked....mahi mahi "kimberly" entree is basically mahi mahi smothered with hollandaise sauce (sauce was broken). The fish was cooked to perfection and was tasty (fresh mahi is ALWAYS delicious). Overall, I had better meals elsewhere for less money. Lunch for 3 including the calamari... More
