food was simply okay and not seemingly a great deal. I would not really recommend this place for a tasty bite.

We went there on our first day in playa potrero. The place looks like a regular beach front soda and the service was ok. I made the mistake of ordering a shrimp ceasar from the black board. It arrived, a sad plate of romaine kettuce upon which shrimps were laid out in a circle with some parmesan sprinkled on top.... More

This restaurant it's a rough diamond, a friend recommended this place and now is a must when we are in Guanacaste. Try for the special menu, the regular one is great but the other one has delicious and different options. The ceviche, the blackened tuna and the traditional shrimp rice are the best, I really recommend the place, it's not... More

My husband and i came with friends for snack and slushy fruit drinks, which were served in a large glass and very yummy. Prices for mixed drinks are on the high side. You are basically right on the beach and the sunsets from here are truly beautiful. We also had the ceviche which was very tasty. Casual atmosphere and good... More

Our first night in Playa Potrero we went looking for a local restaurant.... and we came upon this gem.... after parking we were led to a table under an tent right at the edge of the beach, literally 20 feet from the breaking waves. The owner welcomed us to our table, and from there on out the service from him... More

Based on recommendations from friends we stopped by Las Brisas solely to try the tuna sashimi. It was awesome and a large portion.

Located right on the beach, Las Brisas is the penultimate beach bar - good basic, local food, fresh seafood, cheap beer and fruit smoothies, you couldn't ask for more. There is no pretense here, just a concrete floor, thatched roof, bar stools and plastic chairs; nothing to impede the warm, ocean breeze, pink sunset nor tropical ambiance. Highly recommended in...
