Description: Skyla's Beach House is a beach house you can call your own!We are a Beach House that indicates something personnel, a house on the beach which is open for people to come an go as they please. Just like you would if you were stopping in at a friends house to say hello. You can snorkel out around the headland, swing a hammock in the shade, brown up laying on the soft sand or kickback on the lounge getting lost in your favourite book. The swimming is safe so the kids can run off and play till their hearts content while you make the hard decision of wether you will have a cold beer or a delicious cocktail.Throughout the day the Beach House plays a mix of funky, chilled international music and even the odd live act of a up & coming musician. The English speaking staff are very helpful in offering you advice on what other areas of Phuket to visit and things to see & do. They may even be able to teach you a little of the Thai language. Our venue being of a natural Thai style structure is nestled in the peaceful corner of North Kamala Beach, Phuket Thailand.

Today is Sept 2nd 2014 and yes the tree house is no more. My husband walked down there yesterday and all that end is no pulled down and most items taken away. But much material still is stacked. WHY? The changes along all the beaches in Phuket (possible all Thailand but not sure on that ) have been told to... More

An overdue review but writing it anyway for remembrance. We went to Skyla's in April 2013 after reading online reviews here, it was quite a walk from our hotel which was at the other end of the beach but worth the time taken. We had a couple of beers, it was mid-day so the tide was relatively low and the... More

I've heard great stories about this spot and when staying at the Novotel Kamala Beach I was already planning to have dinner her during my stay at Phuket. When I was walking on the beach I saw it looked like a complete abandoned tree house-ish. I looked on trip advisor only to see that the restaurant is closed. Super sad.

Restaurant is destroyed. It's a pile of junk now. If you expect to eat there, bring your sandwiches.

On arrival at Kamala we planned to visit one of the attractions to be told it had been demolished due to new government coup which is turning the public lands back to the people. Very sad for lovers of Skyla. RIP.

The government is tearing down all the structures that are built on public land. Skyla's Beach House on the North end of Kamala Beach was one of those. It was demolished on Sunday, June 15th. No word yet about a replacement, if any.

We recently spent 6 days in Kamala and Skylas (via Trip Advisor) was at the top of our list to visit. The first night we walked down there (after 26 hours of travel!) the restaurant was closed. We were there about 6pm and understand during low season, that they close at this time. There were no hours posted anywhere and... More

Hi, our apologies for the disappointment. We appreciate your honest feedback, surf season can be quite slow for the restaurant hence why we close early but thats no excuse for bad service. I hope we will get to make it up to you one day. SBH More

Wow, what a great and different experience. Tucked away at the North end of Kamala Beach this wonderful hidden spot boasts some of the best ocean/beach side views with great food and drinks to boot. The Pad Thai is probably the best I have ever had and the chicken cabbage wraps are to die for. I also loved the special... More
