The Cooks got the cream at the Fat Cat

We stopped here as we were travelling back down the N2 from St Lucia to Durban. We had met a couple in the morning who live in Mtunizi and recommended we go to see it. My wife saw a recommendation for the Fat Cat in a guide book. We were given a nice welcome on arrival and offered a table... read more

We love the Fat Cat! It is our favourite go-to local restaurant whenever we have family or friends visiting... The spare ribs or chicken & prawn curry is my personal favourites. The personnel are always very friendly.

Great choice of menu and very reasonably priced. Friendly helpful staff and jovial owner. We enjoyed the scampi prawn tails and pancakes. Go there you won't be disappointed.

The food was awesome. Good quality at very reasonable prices. Staff were very friendly and obliging. Inside and outside seating available. Might be a good idea to book we got the last table.

Not impressed at all. I ordered a spare rib pizza and it was basically dough with chutney and cheese and some kind of meat. No flavour at all. Absolutely disgusting,

I reviewed this place a few years back and wasn't impressed by the speed of service. Well, they seem to have improved it a lot! It's not fast food, but we were served in good time, even though the place was pretty busy. Food was great and we were properly looked after.

I liked their calamari and hake. Ask for their lamb curry, it is amazing. The pork ribs and the chicken are also good dishes. The steak was alright, just not prepared to our liking.
