Welcoming and a good choice of snacks, cakes and different teas. Also, a good place to pick up papers and essentials.

This is a very high quality cafe with lovely service and lots of attention to detail. The cakes are perfection and the choice of teas is really good. We loved it

Quality of food is outstanding, portion sizes are superb, staff are just so helpful .... fabulous ! When you next visit the Steppes, walk up the path behind the tearooms and visit the 12th C bell tower of the church - it is awesome. Unique in the UK. It alone is worth making a visit to Pembridge ................ link it... More

What a lovely tearoom. Very old fashioned and homely. It made a very pleasant change to be served loose tea and to have bone China teacups and plates. The food was great and the French toast with bacon was very good. Such a nice atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

We stopped in for a cup of coffee and ended up having a snack as it looked so nice. I had the Cream Tea , a large warm obviously home made Scone with butter clotted cream and a very tasty Jam an absolute bargain for an all in price with a pot of tea (proper tea leaves) . My other... More

We visited Bank Holiday Monday while staying in the area and were very impressed by the friendly, helpful staff and the quality of the food. I had a cream tea with freshly made scones while my husband loved his bacon sandwich. Best of all, they serve a variety of teas with proper tea leaves, not tea bags (I know, we're... More

Well made food and very attentive staff, with a great ambiance of old world charm. Would highly recommend a stop off at Pembridge to visit the Olde Steppes.

We have now had lunch or afternoon tea at Ye Olde teppes on a number of occassions. Each and every time the sheer quality of the food (especially the home made cakes, quiches and soups) complemented by the fresh local produce has been superlative. Gary and Mark are real whizzes in the kitchen. In some establishments the quality of the... More

Stopped off with my boyfriend and our neighbours in this delightful Tearoom for brunch on Friday 2 May. We had left Derbyshire early that morning and the coffee, milkshakes and bacon sarnies were gorgeous and much needed. Such a warm welcome by Sam - who nothing was too much trouble for including putting the fire on. Superb customer service and... More
