Just what a tea shop should be, great service, food and of course tea! Very welcoming fire also. I've a simple dietary requirement, no problem, the most delicious bespoke salad whipped up in quick time. A few places in Ludlow could learn from this!

The Steppes is my local village shop and tea room so I could be accused of bias, but the tearoom/restaurant is well worth a visit. It has a quaint country ambiance and the food is excellent. The staff are super friendly providing a good all round experience. It is extremely popular venue for locals and visitors to the area. Add... More

We were travelling down to Hereford last weekend to take part in a Motorcycle trek on the Saturday. We looked for somewhere en route to stop off for tea and cake and found "Ye Olde Steppes". With directions noted we found it on the Friday and we had the most wonderful warm welcome (not something bikers always receive). We ended... More

This cafe is a marvel. It's a very quaint setting with friendly staff but even better is the quality of the food. First time, my wife and I had the cream tea with a couple of speciality teas. The scones are wonderful (fruit & cherry versions) and served with plenty of butter, jam and generous portion of clotted cream. They... More

Utterly charming experience even to being served by a very friendly, if effusive lady who calls people honey pie and darling and sugar and other sickly things. Sure she means well and certainly tries hard to please - that's what counts. Love the place!

a lovely Tea shop, with scrummy food and great service. Set in the heart of Pembridge, this is a must-visit - their luxury hot chocolate is to die for!

In my thirteen years of living only a few miles from Pembridge, this is the first time I've visited Ye Old Steppes. It won't be the last. Not being in a sweet mood this afternoon, I fancied giving the savoury cream tea a go, particularly as I didn't know such a thing existed. I wasn't disappointed. There was a generous... More

This tearoom was highly recommended & we were delighted with our visit. Friendly and welcoming staff showed us to a table promptly. The lunch menu was extensive with a great selection of beverages. The sandwiches were all served with coleslaw, salad & vegetable crisps & the bread was exceptionally fresh....very filling & enjoyable. The local ale went down well too!... More

Been here several times, and have always been able to enjoy the most fantastic food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I would recommend anyone to eat here. Very friendly service, lovely quaint atmosphere. Lovely warm fire in the winter. I cannot find fault with this place at all. I have a hygiene phobia, and don't eat out... More
