Loved it

An excellent tearoom with yummy cakes and tea. The staff are friendly and welcoming and our 2 dogs enjoyed the there water and biscuits. The old but lovely building is enjoyable and we found a lot to buy.

We keep going here because of the warm welcome and the delicious lunches. Homemade cakes are always good and often more out of the ordinary than some cafes. Children and dogs welcomed and made a fuss of! Seems to be getting very popular, so worth booking.

We had a wonderful lunch in this tea/gift shop. It is a place of laughs, never seen, or heard such happy staff. Our food was excellent, quiche and salad, beautifully cooked.

Went here 3 times during our holiday - couldn't resist the cream teas, savoury and sweet were both amazing! All 4 of us loved every mouthful! Highly recommended!

Cakes and drinks were very good, good selection of cakes and very tasty. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We went in a large-ish group with a young child, and were offered a large table in the back room, which was perfect. Would definitely go here again.

Thank you to Gary and his team at Ye Olde Steppes for our beautiful vintage tea served to us at the Colloquy in Lyonshall. Victoria Sponge, lime and courgette and lemon drizzle cakes - Absolutely delicious. It made a great 50th birthday weekend very special for me.

Having been here numerous times I can say that the tearooms are my favourite ever. The staff are always exceedingly polite, happy, helpful and just charming. There is a lovely sense of community in the shop as produce used in the food is local and fresh making the meals taste even better than the average one. There is always a... More
