Our daughter was completing her studies at the University of Bologna and our family went to Dal Pescatore the Sunday before Christmas for a celebratory lunch. We arrived at 1:30 and were warmly greeted and shown to a table in the light and elegantly appointed dining room. All four of us ordered the winter menu and for the next four... More

This was a highlight of our food safari to Italy, the place is in the middle of a small village and was just wonderful, Alberto Santini met us at the door, like we where old friends. This is a true family affair, Antonio, Nadia, Alberto, all where wonderful, the food is just the best Italy has to offer, I will... More

One might doubt how good a simple italian cooking can be to be worth three michelin stars… well, it can be that good, which to me was pretty surprising. Apart from the place- charming house at the end of nowhere, apart from the family- 3 of them do the service, 3 are in the kitchen, apart from Nadia Santini- who... More

We had the "Menu d` Estate" which worked out at 10 courses for a Sunday lunch sitting. This is Italian family food honed to 3 star Michelin status over generations of the Santini family. Everyone was there during our lunch , Mother Nadia rarely leaves the kitchen. Father , sons and relatives all play major parts in the show.Everyone took... More

It is not easy to write a review about a three-Michelin stars restaurant, ranked top three or five restaurants in Italy, and write something which is useful to other users. Out of around 280 reviews, 250 are five or four stars and therefore, apart from a few unfortunate cases that I have read carefully - some of which also by... More

The food is amazing and the service is perfect. We had a great time. The owner is a very kind person. We had the chance to meet the cheff and congratulate him for the food, because it was just perfect. The house is beautiful and the atmosphere is excellent to enjoy one of the best meals we've ever had in... More

You have to make an effort to get here – but it is worth it. Attentive, but unintrusive service makes you entirely relaxed and at home. The food is exquisite, without being over elaborate and every mouthful is to be savoured. Expensive - but simply perfect for a special occasion.

Just amazing food! True perfection. I've been to many restaurants with stars and also 3 stars, but this is really up there. So much better than the arrogant French. Italians have a nag for being correct without arrogance. Don't make the mistake of staying in Milan. Book eg 9 Muse B&B who is almost next door and who will drive... More

I am still full up this morning after having dinner yesterday evening. The food was exquisite and as I don't eat pumpkin, I was offered salmon or "culatello" , I don't eat salmon either which after having tasted the ham I am really glad about. It just melted in your mouth. The other dishes in the Autumn Menu were unbelievable... More
