We were fortunate to visit a total of three Michelin-three-star restaurants in a short trip to Northern Italy (the other two being Osteria Francescana in Modena and Da Vittorio near Bergamo). Each has its own distinct characters and we enjoyed every meal tremendously, but Dal Pescatore lingers in memory as a combination of being down-to-earth and perfectly professional. It is... More

Our guidebook of choice is Lonely Planet, even though we are seniors now. However we had seen a documentary that included coverage of Dal Pescatore. We decided to go to the restaurant, since we were going to Venice and it was close. It was totally amazing from start to finish, from the email interactions with Alberto regarding making a reservation,... More

Very elegant restaurant good food & wines. BUT "lost " in the country far from Mantova and other towns. Extremely Expensive, you eat with eyes. Advice : Ask price before.

Its hard to rate a top 3 star Michelin restaurant as it really deserves a review class of its own. I can only speak for my experience and try compare it to other 3,2 & 1 star restaurants I've enjoyed. The location is quite unusual but for the many visitors enjoying the popular Garda Lake region its only a 50... More

Amazing: 1. Location 2. Atmosphere 3. Service 4. Cellar 5. Food You can't go higher than this. Everything is perfect in the finest detail, from the chair where you sit, to the towels, the bread, the raw ingredients, the dishes, the balance of the flavours, the wines, the dessert, the view, the timing of service... It's just like in heaven!

Tucked away off the beaten track Dal Pescatore is without doubt not only the finest restaurant in Italy but in my opinion ranks in the top three I have eaten in world-wide. Nadine the owner/chef produces magical dishes from fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The whole experience is amazing. The dining room is elegant without being too fussy, the wine... More

Our daughter was completing her studies at the University of Bologna and our family went to Dal Pescatore the Sunday before Christmas for a celebratory lunch. We arrived at 1:30 and were warmly greeted and shown to a table in the light and elegantly appointed dining room. All four of us ordered the winter menu and for the next four... More

This was a highlight of our food safari to Italy, the place is in the middle of a small village and was just wonderful, Alberto Santini met us at the door, like we where old friends. This is a true family affair, Antonio, Nadia, Alberto, all where wonderful, the food is just the best Italy has to offer, I will... More

One might doubt how good a simple italian cooking can be to be worth three michelin stars… well, it can be that good, which to me was pretty surprising. Apart from the place- charming house at the end of nowhere, apart from the family- 3 of them do the service, 3 are in the kitchen, apart from Nadia Santini- who... More

We had the "Menu d` Estate" which worked out at 10 courses for a Sunday lunch sitting. This is Italian family food honed to 3 star Michelin status over generations of the Santini family. Everyone was there during our lunch , Mother Nadia rarely leaves the kitchen. Father , sons and relatives all play major parts in the show.Everyone took... More
