Above average spot for light lunch and tasting

We found this spot when all the usual touristy cafes were full and were very happy with it. We had a no-choice meal of a small salad followed by a good plate of charcuterie and cheeses, excellent breads, with three wines to taste and this was perfect for us, all for €15. The terrace was cool... read more

Nice place just below the main square of Gigondas. You can eat some pieces of charcuterie and cheeses with bread in the terrace. We drank thier Signature wine which was rather good and reasonably priced. The service was friendly.

Today I went to the Caveau with my family and was delighted by the service. Also the quality of the wines is amazing I particularly enjoyed the Gigondas signature 2011 (even more than more expensive and older wines) it is definitely the best price quality wine I tried, including Gigondas wines of other producers.

We popped in here on a hot June day around 1pm and decided to grab some charcuterie and cheese while we waited for the Maison du Gigondas to open. I think this place is terrific value. My wife and I split one platter that was accompanied by three ample samples of local Gigondas reds. For only 15 euros it was... More

We went there during a day tour and it was OK with a great view of the area. The tasting menu was difficult fir a gluten free allergy problem and English not spoken much. The real disappointment was the wines provided with each course were very average and as no place to pour out partly drunk glasses made finishing each... More

My husband and I went to Gigondas on a wine-buying expedition. We learned that the best way to buy the wines of the region is at the Caveau de Gigondas, a centralized tasting room on the main square of the town. There, you can taste and buy any of hundreds of wines at the same price as the wineries themselves.... More

We arranged a wine tasting here and what a great time it was. They set up table and chairs inside as it was cool that day, we tasted 4 different wines, and they gave us cheese in olive oil to go along with the tasting. The young man delivered the wine tasting in English for us, and he was knowledgeable,... More
