We arrived late on a Tuesday evening and wanted good and uncomplicated dinner. Chez Grand Ma was recommended and was perfect. 3-4 good meals, 4-6 entrees and a handful of good local Loire wines to choose from and professional and friendly service.

We visited this restaurant some ten years ago and had a bad experience. So ever since we gave it a miss on our frequent journeys in the area. What we had not known was it changed hands some eight years ago and is now in very capable hands. Had a great standard formule lunch on Tuesday. Main courses of lamb... More

Our group of five came here in May. What a lovely time we had! It was warmish evening so we were able to eat outside in the courtyard. The menu isn't large but there enough delicious choices for all of us to be happy with each of the three courses we had from the fixed menu, which represents excellent value.... More

Friendly, small town restaurant with formidable cuisine. The chef came over when we walked in and told us about the menu for the evening. He even made a small change to accommodate my son's aversion to mushrooms.

My friends have moved to live near here - they are lucky to have such a good local restaurant. the food was a high standard - particularly the salmon and the fondant de chocolat. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The outside of this restaurant does not suggest anything special. Entering via the small bar area, to a rather plain indoor eating area, did nothing to suggest that we were in for a high quality French provincial meal. The menu is quite short - two 'set menus' from which were were invited by the charming owner/waitress to select whatever we... More

We enjoyed our night out but thought it weird that all the other three tables on the terrace were also from the UK. Oh well can't be helped, it was a Tuesday! Food delicious.

Nice food from a simple menu. €12 a head for the traditional three course lunch. Weirdly, the bill didn't tally up to what we had but I only noticed it after I had left as I was rushing after my wife and child. Clearly, I should have gone back to sort it out but it was definitely incorrect so as... More

It was our first meal in France and we were travel weary, jet lagged and unable to call up any of our limited (very limited) French. Our server was helpful although her English was limited, made us feel comfortable and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.
