Does what it says on the tin !

Went here for a Friday night meal . It was a beautiful evening , so lovely to sit outside by the canal to look through the menu . It was extremely busy but the staff were no less attentive . Great food at great prices , good service and lovely setting . Definitely worth a visit .

Booked a champagne breakfast for my friends 21st. Was told I couldn't book for 9am as there was a big party in at that time so therefore had to book for 8:30, however this big party didn't come until 10am anyway. The food was lovely and faultless and the young brunette waitress was fantastic and made us feel very welcome.... More

This pub is in a great village location by the Trent and Mersey canal, where if you are fortunate enough to have a boat, moorings are available. in the summer they have a outside barbecue as well as serving meals in the restaurant. The food and service are good and they have a good selection of beers lagers and wines.

Lovely setting for lunch with the girls, but that's where the niceties end. Service was mediocre at best and our lunch was terrible. The mushroom soup was horrible and the Coronation chicken was a great disappointment. When we complained we received an unsatisfactory response and did not even receive a free coffee. I would not recommend it at all

We booked a table to eat on 17/7 with friends, the staff were very welcoming, the food was excellant. we had the fish platter to share for starter and steaks for mains. we stayed quite awhile after we finished eating, enjoying the drink and atmosphere.

Nice setting beside a canal. Sat outside with work mates and enjoyed a drink and barbecue, vegetarian burger. It was average and took a long time to arrive (only after asking). Sweet potato chips were nice, would recommend. Bar staff that I encountered could be friendlier and smile despite being busy :-)

Recently visited for breakfast with friends. The food was very tasty and quickly delivered. The staff were very friendly and the food was very quickly served. There is also an outside seating area over looking a canal which many barges. On the Saturday we visited the staff were getting this area ready for a barbecue! Ideal place to visit for... More

used this as a half way point to meet friends, I have to say I was suitably impressed, it was very busy with staff dashing back and forth to fulfil orders ( we likened them to ants) there were so many and all busy, orders were taken and we were served very nicely by our waitress who was very friendly...food... We visited this restaurant for an evening meal, using the very efficient online booking service to select the time and date. On arrival, the staff were very welcoming and although the restaurant was very busy we were shown straight to our table. Throughout the evening the service was excellent - very attentive without being intrusive. There was a wide choice... More
