Description: One of Sydney’s highest rated Lebanese restaurants, the El-Phoenician...
One of Sydney’s highest rated Lebanese restaurants, the El-Phoenician, garnered star-driven praises from The Sunday Telegraph proving it is a contemporary and stylistic showcase with a modernistic approach to an arrestingly innovative Middle-Eastern food styling. The El-Phoenician's artistically executed menu and skillfully developed wine lists have been assembled by pedigreed Chefs and an award winning Sommelier - that are truly bent on awakening your consciousness.

One Star Quality, Five Star PRICE.. What An Absolute Joke!!!!

Came here on Valentines day with my wife and another couple, told it was only a set menu on the night. One banquet per couple @ $89 per person...($360 for all four of us) food was something you'd get from a kebab stand. Was only given one banquet to share amongst the four of us. Waited 45 mins for... read more

Came here for Mother's Day. Were not informed that we could not sit inside and froze outside. Waited more than an hour to be seated then the manager said he would "look after us" and gave us the most expensive banquet menu. They then charged us for that menu - we assumed they would discount given that they were "looking... More

We went here for valentines day and were a little disappointed, we were expecting a proper menu but no, just a choice of 2 things (valentines day thing), a share platter with dips, breads, chicken and beef on skewers, and a few sides...quite a generous amount but pretty average quality, all for $90/person OR pretty much the same but with... Even though we were there during the Sydney Festival (Opening night) and it was really busy they rushed to find us a place after about 10mins. The bellydancing, both female and male, were extremely entertaining and the platters of food was delicious. High recommend it! Very friendly, genuine people.

Over priced, under performed. Average food, average service, crowded and all for a five star price. I was lucky, I was not paying the bill. Any other Lebanese restaurant within 10 kilometres would be better and cheaper. I would never go of my own accord, that is when I am paying.

I tried to make a booking but noone answered so i left a VM, noone called me back. The next day i called again but was hung up on twice while put on hold but someone eventually called me back. When we got to the restaurant things were fine although we did pay $50pp for only dips and 3 or... More

Generous portions, friendly atmosphere, and really good food! Every time we go there are long tables set up for big family dinners or parties. They always give us our favourite table, treat our daughter like one of their own. Whether you want to go for a casual early dinner or get dressed up for an evening out (with belly dancing... More

To go here and order a small amount of dinner and then get smacked with a bill for 3 for $180 is beyond a joke. $22 for pickles. $54 for 6 bits of kefta This is the first time I've gone to any restaurant and been absolute gobsmacked and had to check the bill 4-5 times to see if it... More

I did not particularly enjoy my evening at el phoenician. I ordered a mixed plate to share and found that the quality was lacking in comparison to places where the price was significantly cheaper.

If you're looking for authentic Lebanese food they doesn't stray far from a traditional Lebanese household, then this is the restaurant for you!
