It is always difficult to pick a restaurant when there is 4 or 5 in a line with similar fare and pricing. We fortunately pick Mediterraneo. Salads, seafood and service were excellent as was the coffee (perhaps the Moroccan influence). The sweets were slightly disappointing although looking great the taste was sweet and typically Spanish. We all agreed that the paella at the Mediterraneo was the best ever. The seafood paella was crammed with juicy mussels, prawns and squid, and the carne paella had chicken, chorizo etc - both were absolutely scrumptious. We also had massive bowls of beautiful mixed salad, bread and alioli, lovely homemade desserts and lots of wine. So all in all,... More

Great location with nice views from the terrace, near the yacht club. Service is attentive and friendly, cooking is excellent, much better than some other 'typical' restaurants in the area. Good menu of typically Spanish dishes plus some with Moroccan influence, and very good fresh fish, nicely presented. My turbot was cooked to perfection, a big fish and probably enough... More

We ate here again on Saturday evening, and had a wonderful meal as well as a great welcome, as usual. The fish dishes were outstanding and great value too.

I chose this restaurant from the recommendations in the Lonely Planet Guide and it is well worth the short walk to the other end of the promenade. It being November, it was quiet with only one kitchen open. I had no problem about waiting but they brought me an 'amuse bouche'. I chose the grilled fish, which the waiter said... More

Once again a fabulous time had eating great food within a lovely atmosphere overlooking San Jose harbour and beach. well worth a visit to be served by friendly knowledgeable staff a plethora of delicious fresh food. Although it provides for the Spanish taste it also offers a diversity that appeals to a wider customer base. Fresh seafood platters, freshly cooked... More

We ate a nicely done lamb tajine. It took a little longer than other dishes they have but it was worth the wait. The service is good.

The managers offer Maroqui food as well as nicely prepared fresh fish and seafood. The food always come with nicely grilled vegetables. A great place for an informal dinner.

We have visited San Jose every year for many years. Our favourite place to eat out is Mediterraneo. This is partly because of how friendly and helpful Dani and Momo both are, the reasonable prices (for example a bottle of very drinkable house white for 9 euros) and also because of the variety of delicious dishes that they serve. This... More
