Welcome to The Award Winning Farmer's Boy Inn Longhope Simply put, we love food. Not just for what it is, but for the experience that accompanies it. Homely surroundings, great company and conversation, attentive waiters, who become friends and of course fine wines from around the world. After an evening of gastro food delights, gourmet pies and laughter in front of the open fire retire to our courtyard of boutique individually designed rooms and drift off, to wake up to the sounds, sights and smells of the idyllic Gloucestershire countryside. Followed of course by a hearty breakfast and maybe a stroll up the majestic May Hill

This jus the road from where my folks live in longhope and been going for years and my brother was even bar staff here years ago. I always get steak and ale puffy pastry pie and us to get the one wit mussles on top. The only thing I didn't like last time my daughter wanted to try the kid... More

Went here on the way home from work as I had been told about the pies here. I have stayed in and around Ross many times and mainly eaten locally in Ross, so this was a nice change. As it was fairly early on a Wednesday it wasnt busy so service was not a problem. I had a starter, main... More

I read all the reviews of nearby restaurants to try to choose a good one for our first night's stay in the area. Based on this we chose the Farmer's Boy Inn. It is really more pub than restaurant. The style and decor of the place is quite old fashioned and the food was acceptable but not excellent. We chose... More

Was really excited to go here and have what is known as an amazing pie as this is what it's famous for. Definitely not anything worth shouting about below average pie came out the wrong size to start with then very slow service even when quite and took ages for the bill and it wasn't even busy. The pie....well it... More

After years of driving past and saying 'We must try there' we finally went for a meal (after another restaurant couldn't seat us). Glad we did, although not a cheap place to eat the food was more than filling and tasted great. The bar manager was lovely, really friendly and chatty. Yes you have to wait because it's not a... Had a meal tonight, 1st August and the food was great but the service was terrible! We had to ask for our starter/main menu and then 25 minutes later we asked for our order to be taken. When we did order we had to wait 45 minutes for it to arrive after the manager/owner had said it will will be... More

Standing up for your staff. Firstly, when we receive feedback where there is an element that we could improve we treat this as a gift, we are always working to improve our service, and this is reflected in the reviews left by some guests that return again and again. I have taken a few days to reply to this review.... More

Ten of us booked for a meal on Sunday afternoon. Excellent service from an attentive and friendly member of staff. Unsurprisingly we all went for pies - the Farmer's Boy is renowned for their 2 in 1pies. Wild boar and cider, steak & Guinness and cauliflower cheese, steak & Guinness, chicken and leek and mushroom, etc., etc. Followed by home... More

Wow, the pies on offer are just beautiful. The food was exceptional, the staff were very kind, friendly, helpful in every way and the bar staff were excellent to chat to. It is a dog friendly pub and our little dog loved staying with us in our room as we don't like to leave him with family if we choose... More
