My wife and I had an evening meal here while on holiday. It's a really great place. The atmosphere and decor was really cosy. The restaurant has an extensive menu, with the food being first class. Friendly attentive staff. This is what I would expect of a pub but is hard to find. Prices are fair too.

My wife and I stopped here for lunch having noted it to look very inviting the last time we passed. What a non starter!! To be fair the venue itself was lovely - pity we couldn't say the same about the food and service. We were greeted by a young lady pleasantly, seated and promptly forgotten, she was on her... More

Visited with friends and had a lovely dinner at this place last Saturday night. It was a great experience! the food was good and the staff very friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. The ancient building is full of character and is nicely decorated. The well inside the restaurant is also an attraction and a good conversation point for a... More

After reading some reviews decided we would give it a go. Walking in off the street without a booking they were able up sort us in a few mins with a table for 5. Some steaks and fish were the meals chosen and delighted fully served by a very nice girl that looked after us from the start. Only here... More

Just come back from a weekend stay at theFBI. Phil and his team go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The standard of service was excellent. Great menu, something for everyone. Fabulous breakfast, super bacon and sausages. Didn't need much lunch. Would we stay again, absolutely.

Booked last minute, sat and ate in bar (with welcome family dog), good sized restaurant and outdoor area. Too much choice on the 'pie menu', otherwise pub food was as expected all be it a bit pricey, £97.00 for 7 meals and a drink? Great, friendly, fast service!

Wow, went here for a work's do and had a phenomenal meal. The menu is superb and varied, thrown in with a burger man/woman versus food challenge which to be honest very few could conquer, (the bread roll would have done me never mind all the rest of it). They also have a steak challenge something like a 2lb rump... More

I arrived unannounced (no booking etc) at the Farmers Boy Inn (FBI) late last Saturday evening and was warmly greeted by the bar staff and the owner (Phil) who immediately made me feel welcomed. I found the FBI to be one of those rare pubs where you almost instantly get involved in a friendly 3 or 4 way conversation with... More
