Awesome Pies!

Great food - the pies really are that good, great beer and a good children menu with big portions instead of the usual - my daughter particularly enjoyed her steak pie!

Have heard a lot about this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. Quiet drinks in the beer garden to start with. And then pies all around for dinner- all delicious! Managed to also fit in the bread and butter pudding with Guinness ice-cream (who would have thought of that combination but it was great)! Great evening!

Varied menus, three in all, lunch, specials and main options but no difference in quality and service, all high. We ate the open sandwiches, various versions of the excellent pies, the lamb weekly special and three of the various breakfast options, all were excellent

Staying in Longhope we visited the FBI twice in 4 days (lunch & dinner) and the food, service & hospitality were all excellent. Lovely dog friendly bar area and a beautiful restaurant too. It's also possible to walk to May Hill from the FBI if you need to work up an appetite. One to definitely remember and revisit.

This is our fifth visit to the farmers boy and once again we were not disappointed. We stayed for two nights with friends and their two dogs and the staff made us and the dogs very welcome. We ate in the pub both nights and the food was excellent as was the breakfast both mornings. All of the staff are... More

This 17th Century Inn is on the A40 to the west of Gloucester and just outside the village of Longhope. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It is a good pit stop if you are 'on the road' and just want a freshly made to order sandwich and the dinner menu has a good range of choices from pub classics... More

We went twice to this restaurant, primarily because they made us the the three dogs more than welcome. A lovely homely feel about the place, a cosy, but not snug bar area and a lovely restaurant area. The bar staff made a real fuss of the dogs and through out our two dining experiences went that extra mile for us.... More

Visited here on Mothering Sunday, and was VERY impressed with the food, staff and the pub itself! Loved the warm, cosy feel with the low ceilings with the exposed beams. The staff were friendly and welcoming, too! They had a good menu, but without a doubt more for the pie lovers, they have many to pick from, good luck choosing!... More
