Visited many years ago but from memory the food and location was very nice, although the artwork did not particularly interest me.

I have already mentioned this in my review of the hotel, but the restaurant is so good that it is worth highlighting again! We were staying at the hotel and ate here for two of those nights. For the first three nights of the week they offer a tapas style menu and for the rest of the week they offer... More

Fantastic value for money. Many restaurants in North Devon are shouting about being gastronomic but are failing on the food front. Broomhill hits the mark perfectly with the food but what's most refreshing is that they do it without fuss. Easily a better meal than what we've had so far this year including the local Michelin starred pubs.

The cream tea was awful on every level and the surroundings were a huge disappointment. The place looked derelict. The gardens are scruffy and totally uninviting.

We had the 3 course lunch, which was a gourmet surprise, particularly for the price, an excellent meal with lovely service. We then walked round the garden for an hour looking at the sculptures and only saw a fraction of it. We intend returning to see the rest soon.

I had wanted to visit this attraction in Devon for ages as a fellow B&B owner (of a very different sort I must add) my husband and I enjoy a wonderful afternoon strolling around this very inspiring gardens. The sculptures and gardens very enjoyable. We did have the 3 course tapas lunch prior to our stroll which I was looking... More

My family and I had sunday lunch here mid Sept 2014. Set price menu of £14.95 per person for 3 courses with a little added for some dishes if you chose them. I had duck pate to start which was very tasty and served with delicious flat crispbread and other breads, all home made. My main was one of the... More

A North Devon Treasure tucked away in Muddiford, near Barnstaple. Very interesting outdoor sculpture collection in the extensive gardens. But the true jewel is the food. Locally sourced, where available, the menus was varied and interesting and the food was superb! Small, intimate dining rooms helped create a special atmosphere, but in the end the, the food is the star!... More

It's hard to tell whether the best thing about broomhill is the setting or the food. I've now been several times and I never tire of the views of the wonderful sculpture gardens and the fact you're only ten minutes outside barnstaple but feel like you're in the middle of nowhere! The food is always cooked to perfection and full... More
