Yes, Phuket is known for its superb fresh seafood and international cuisines, but one would be remiss not to try southern Thai food on the island at least once. Raya offers this type of food in an atmospheric setting. I admit I had never heard of the restaurant on my previous trips to the island, but I now wish I... More

We were lucky to stay at a hotel (Baan Suwantawe) that's just a few walking steps from this highly raved restaurant. The signature Crab Meat in Yellow Curry was an absolutely endearing dish. Raya is so generous with the crab meat - every spoonful will have you gobbling down these fresh gems soaked in the most memorable curry. The Phad... More

Well, we do love spicy food. But having asked for medium spicy dishes we got extremelly hot ones. Impossible to eat - you start crying. So if you are a fan of superspicy food - get here. The atmosphere is very nice with old posters on the walls. Waitors speak English.

Very good thai food in Old Phucket town. situated off the main street, up a side street in an old chinese shop house. The interior decoration is very 'eccentric & worn' but this place is very popular with people in the know around Phuket island Possibly the only one serving good crab dishes. The prices are between Bt250 and Bt650... More

Crab meat and coconut curry.....enough said!!! They are known for this dish for a reason. Large lumps of crab meat in a coconut yellow curry sauce that is amazing over thin vermicelli style cellophane noodles. If your lucky enough to have sauce left over feel free top our it over some rice....enjoy!!!

The crab curry here lives up to its well-established reputation. Even the General Manager of the 5-star resort where I was staying recommended it. It is chunky crab meat (no shells in sight, very luxe) in yellow curry served with blanched rice noodles on the side. However, as the curry consists of thick coconut milk, it’s best to share the... Spicy. Mild. A wide variety of local dishes. A place to visit while in Phuket. Reasonable price. Very traditional setting.

This place is fantastic. Highly recommend this place. The food is great. The service is friendly. And the atmosphere is really special - an old colonial house set in the middle of Phuket Town. One warning - I don't care how much spice you can take back in the States. When they ask how spicy? Don't respond "Very". Or even... More
