Great Italian cooked by a non-Italian and I am Italian!

I rarely eat Italian out of Italy unless there is an Italian chef. But I wanted to try because after days of eating Thai food, fish and vegetables I needed some carbs! Of course eating Italian does not mean we eat only pasta or pizza. However, my body was asking me to eat pasta. We loved it! The... read more

Firstly this hotel was worth every penny it cost me to stay here albeit 2 years ago now - how the time flys!!!! I still remember my stay there as if it were yesterday, so it has obviously made an impression on me. The hotel staff are wonderful and very polite in every aspect. Mind you you are paying for... We had dinner at Cucina( which by the way is not in Phuket Town) at JW Marriott Mai Khao beach on Wednesday night and it was so good we went back last night. The highlight was the special by chef Heather of sticky pork belly with rissotto. Last night Sue had beetroot ravioli which she said is now her new... More

We come here often when we need a break from our beloved Thai food. Staff is efficient and friendly. The food was good though the pasta lost a bit of it's genuine Italian character, but let's not forget we are in Thailand.

Have eaten at this restaurant on numerous occasions during our stay at the JWMarriott. Food, service and atmosphere are exceptional. Prices on the high side...so make sure you buy a Club Marriott Dining Card before you arrive.

I asked my friend to take me to a nice place and we drove all the way to this Restaurant. The Restaurant itself is nice but lacks atmosphere and obviously we got the feeling of being in a normal chain restaurant, after we looked at the menu we decided to go for Pizza which was nice and price wise was... Came to eat here on recommendation- wish we had not. First, bread basket arrived soaked in olive oil, totally greasy and unappetizing. Next, mushroom soup for 400 baht- quite ok and good bruschetta for my wife as starters. Main course- lasagne - probably one of the worst I have eaten in Thailand (never mind Italy). We had a spaghetti as... More

Dear David 728, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Cucina is very popular with our guests for the simple, authentic Italian food but unfortunately something went amiss this time. Please accept our chef's sincere apologies. She is very passionate about her food and it does pain her to hear this. We hope to be able to... More

My family ate here 3 times during our stay. Yes, it is more expensive than the few places in Turtle Village, but it's no more than what we pay at an average Italian restaurant in Houston. We had their pizza many times (including ordering it from the pool bar) and it's a great thing-crust pizza. We also had lasagna, gnocchi... More

Average food and fairly seafood heavy menu. Best dish was the minestrone soup which had lots of fresh vegetables. Other food was decidedly average. Some staff were very friendly, others indifferent. In an almost empty restaurant at 22:00 it was hard to get the attention of the staff to order deserts. Much older crowd than other restaurants on this resort.... More

Worth a visit. Great pizza and pasta although a little expensive. In saying that you are at the JW Marriott and everything is expensive. Probably the best restaurant on site there
