Walked past this place several times and read reviews on here. This is a must visit place. Most enjoyable dining experience, the food is fresh, tasty, moreish. Whilst it may be a little walk, it is very well worth it and you would not be disappointed. Word of mouth soaks volumes and as we dined we seem several people walk... More

We went to the Elephant Cafe and Restaurant several times for breakfast lunch and dinner. While we tried street food and restaurants we returned to the elephant cafe for quality, service and phenomenal cocktails. Highly recommended for the Karon area. Deep fried fish superb. Avoid western food, while western food is good its not great.

Food is traditional with also a European menu selection, which is a very tasty low cost option. We enjoyed a range of traditional Thai dishes, such as Pad Thai and enjoyed the experience on each occasion.

This place was very close to the Movenpick resort and a nice little place right on the main road. The food was very good (curry recommended) and we were able to get variety for the whole family including kids and a vegetarian. Food was very cheap - I think this meal only cost about 600 baht for the 4 of... More

We stayed at the Moevenpick in Karon. If you walk out the main entrance and turn towards Phuket Town on the main road, you'll find the Elephant Cafe a few doors down. Humble in appearance, the food quickly raises its image. All cooked fresh while you can see into the clean kitchen. Fruit smoothies to die cor. What more can... More

I visited Elephant Cafe & Restaurant recently on a trip to Phuket. The food was excellent and can't be faulted at all, the service was excellent too. I also met the owner, Tan, who is lovely and looks after her customers really well. Really well worth a visit if you're in Karon / Kata or nearby, definitely recommend.

Lovely little restaurant about 100m from the front entrance of Moevenpick hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the shrimp cakes and chicken sate. Also had a grilled lobster which was pretty good. But the coconut shake was great and the lemon shake was very refreshing. Prices are pretty cheap (shakes 70baht, sate 70baht). Well worth a visit! :)

We came here based on trip advisor and were not disappointed. We weren't sure if we were in the right place when we got here but it was a lovely family run restaurant and so well priced! We had the recommended crab dish, papaya salad and fried fish with garlic and pepper. Delicious and all made the traditional Thai way.
