Definitely worth visiting! A friendly, cosy place. Do not let your first impression fool you - the food is just great - honest, good, tasty food. Recommendations big time!

We had a few fried starters, which were all pretty large portions and were all very tasty. We didn't have any traditional Thai mains as we were fairly full by then but the Pad Thai was quite delicious as well. The ice cold towel on entering the restaurant was absolutely brilliant given how warm it was and we even asked... More

Looked like a good place for seafood, I am a vegetarian and the green curry I ordered was passable. I have had better in other restaurants in Karon (the green curry is a goto when I'm stuck for options). Food took a bit of time to arrive.

Except for a slight fishy smell, the restaurant is clean & place is cooling. Food is tasty, we ordered pineapple rice (serve in a pineapple, the authentic thai style!), spring rolls, spaghetti with tomato sauce, chicken satay and mixed vege. Service is good & food came fast too. Restaurant is easy to locate, along main road. Worth a visit.

Great prices and great foods. First time I tried stingray and it was wonderful. I suggest garlic pepper style. The prices here are cheapest on the street as well.

I really enjoyed this restaurant and ended up going there 5 times during our 10 days visit to Karon. Fantastic food and the best price per value. All curries were very tasty. Free salad Bar after 5 pm. Cold beer :) Quick and attentive service. Ying was packed most evenings so if possible go for dinner latest 7pm.

This restaurant rose quickly to the best in Karon and deservedly so....however as so often happens, this has and will be its downfall....when food quality and service begin to take a backseat to profit....have been there twice in last 2weeks and both times found the food to be tasteless and old...chicken fried rice,a Thai staple, terrible, the chicken dry and at least a... Ying's Restaurant is pretty basic but the food is FANTASTIC! Set amongst dozens of tourist trap establishments, Ying's cater for both tourists and Thais which makes a huge difference in both quality and price. Best yellow curry with crab I had in Thailand, and all of the other dishes were top notch too and all at prices the Thais themselves... More

This is definitely a great spot for great food on Karon. It is authentic thai and some western items. It is affordable and satisfying. Yum Yum Yum.
