We booked lunch here as we were on our way to Bristol airport. The beef for me was undercooked, also bits of chewy fat. Not enough veg for our party of four. We had to ask for more. The roast potatoes were not cooked enough, broccoli & sweet potato not cooked enough. Not enough carrots. Yorkshire pudding over cooked. Perhaps... More

My partner and I visit the Waldegrave Arms regularly, if we want a meal we always have to book in advance as the pub gets extremely busy in the holidays and at weekends. The food is amazing, thanks to Lee and his staff, Sharron and Monica (the old dear behind the bar) are warm and friendly, giving an excellent service,... More

Have eaten here a few times and it is with out a doubt my favourite place to eat in the area. The staff are lovely, especially Sharon who is warm and welcoming with out being overbearing. A great variety of excellent food, with fantastic presentation in a warm and quirky setting. Lee's scallops are incredible, and I would recommend them... More

Disappointed by the review given as 'Disgusting' - as it doesn't give the true story. Yes, I was there that night. The Walde is hugely popular, and even as a 'local' - you have to book up to get a table. That night, the reviewer hadn't pre-booked and were therefore 'walk-ins'. Unfortunately for the reviewer, the restaurant was fully booked,... More

Ate in the restaurant one evening whilst staying at nearby Harptree Court (another amazing place!). Meal was superb, can also recommend the cheeseboard. The atmosphere was great, the staff were very welcoming and helpful and we felt really at home. We decided to have Sunday lunch there as well and I have to say it was one of the best... More

Not happy. Came in at 6pm for some food as the place looks nice HOWEVER if you are not a local please fully expect the old dear behind the bar to tell you they are no longer serving food even though they were empty for then to tell the next lot of people food is being served and given them... More

Lovely relaxed Pub in a lovely Somerset village setting. The food is up-market Pub Grub at good prices, the decor is quietly quirky and the staff are friendly and attentive. Oh and the beer's good too! What's not to like?

This has to be one of the best places to eat that deserves to be recognised. The staff are lovely, the presentation and quality of the food exceptional and great value too. If you are close by do make a visit, but you may need to book first. We ate there on arriving at Harptree Court- another fantastic place -... More

The title says it all but top marks for the chef for setting a great standard at good prices. We dined on fish night with impressive choice, great presentation and no batter!
