My family and I dined here tonight, we arrived and were met with an uninterested welcome by the Bar man. I said I had booked a table and his reply was" really"!! We sat down and ordered the meal which was tasteless and uninteresting. The serving staff were polite and smiled nicely, such a contrast to the Bar man. We... More

I think this gastro has to be the best we've ever been too. The menu is great and the food is amazing. The staff are so friendly. The chequers even support a local charity. It feels like a home from home. Locals are known and they make everyone feel welcome. Thanks to james , kirsty and staff. If passing through... More

My family and I had Sunday lunch here yesterday to celebrate my father's 93rd birthday. There were 8 adults and 3 young children in our group. The service and food was excellent and all members of the party were very well catered for. After a leisurely lunch we spent the afternoon in the very attractive garden where the children enjoyed... My wife and I dined here tonight. Very warm welcome and a superb meal. The staff were all excellent and made the whole evening a delight. The stroganoff and the lamb pave were beautifully cooked and presented. £55 for 2 including a bottle of wine. Good value. We will certainly be coming back again.

Had lunch here at the recommendation of a local person. The food was really good. You can tell that the Chef cares about the food, the detail and the presentation. Impressive choice on the menu although there could have been more meat-free options. Good portion size, good ingredients, good service. Nice decor and loos. A well-cared for place where they're... We stayed at ettington chase across the road and popped in here for lunch the day we arrived. Decor is rather fun, quirky and a bit funky. Staff were lovely. My husband had a roast lamb as a main and I had two starters. We both enjoyed our meals. Service was good and drinks arrived well chilled with plenty ice... More

A great stop off betwen Banbury and Stratford. Great menu and excellent food in a smart stylish pub with a nice garden on a sunny day. I would definitely recommend a visit. Tuborg and san miguel are service at just the right temperature and they always have a warm welcome

We stopped here for lunch on a Friday afternoon and sat in the garden. The service was very good. My husband ordered a burger while I ordered a steak sandwich on white bread. However when it arrived my bread had been toasted which I had not asked for and the menu had stated bread not toasted bread. So although very... More

From the welcoming decor to the delicious menu this pub/restaurant is a delight!! My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary meal and were so impressed. The lovely French château decoration was delightful and the menu sophisticated and exciting. We ate inside but the garden is lovely also. And , the service is excellent.
