The fish and chip restaurant which had opened and was called the Hungry Fish has closed down . It seems that business is difficult in this location . Such a pity as the food was great .

Now reopened as the Big Fish - takeaway or dine in . It's licensed too. This is superb fish and chips with ample portions and friendly cheerful staff . In a contest with the winner of the best fish and chips in Scotland ( in Stonehaven ) this place would win by a mile !

Just came home from a Christmas meal which cost £80 for the two of us. This was two prawn cocktails, two roast dinners two lemon cheesecakes and two G & T's. The decor was just about Christmassy, but only just, the piped music was pop and rap, the service nonchalant with someone wandering around dressed in jeans, and everything carried... More

My friend and I visited this pub Friday. The staff were busy putting up Xmas decorations, which is fine,as there seemed to be no other customers in the place, so we waited for someone to serve us. I ordered fish and chips and my friend ordered gammon. I have to say, my meal was perfectly OK but we were surprised... More

We've eaten here several times now, both at lunchtimes (Sunday lunch and other days) as well as at night time. Had fantastic service, excellent food on all occasions. The price is reasonable too. The place has been recently taken over by new management and done up inside with a bit of a French theme on the decor and cuisine. It's... More

Arrived Wednesday 1.00pm. There are no Disabled parking bays in the large side car park. (Slightly uneven surface) You can get in to the Pub/Restaurant via the Double Gates on the right which can be opened to let in a wheel-chair in a side door up a ramp (No Signage). But on this occasion we went up a small slightly... More

When arriving, this appeared to be a most unattractive venue, inside fared a little better, at least there they tried. The menu seemed extensive until we were told most of the dishes were unavailable and this being only half 6 in the evening. We ploughed on though and ordered our starter dishes and main course. The starters arrived quickly and... More
