Visited here last couple of years and i was a bit sad to note that the recent regime changes in Thailand have forced the ska bar to make some changes but this is still one of the best places in the world to watch the sun go down. Didn't eat at the restaurant today (although from previous experience i can... More

I ordered a crab sandwich and a crab cheese melt. Every mouthful had shell in it, so not wonderful. Great cocktail served in a pineapple, I had two! We weren't rushed at all, we just sat and read our books, people watched and enjoyed being so close to the beach. Staff decided to mend a table just behind us and... More

Beers are served in koozies, which keep the nice and cold. The location is ideal, at the end of the beach, beneath /almost within a very large tree and a few steps up from sand which offers great views down the beach. Relaxed vibe in the early evening, before dinner and prompt service with beers and the check. Only draw... More

We made a trip down the beach to this bar twice due to the recommendations on TripAdvisor. Both were at early evening and it was a great environment and food/drinks enjoyable. Downside is the crowd can get a little rowdy and swearing so not always good to go if you have kids or like to just chill out.

We parked ourselves at the front of this bar to see in the New Year. The drinks service was great and the cocktails cold and tasty. The even threw in a fire show! Probably the best view of the fireworks in Kata Beach, so very happy to stumble onto this place. The only improvement could have been expanding the music... More

The food is no world beater and indeed even as a typical tourist menu it can easily be bested at many places in Kata, however the pricing is very good and the location is awesome. As others have noted the constant loop of reggae can get tiresome however I guess it's on me to go elsewhere. 880 baht got us... More

Amazing thai food and so cheap! Beautiful setting eating and drinking right on the beach front. Lovely to stop for a drink if you're just chilling on the beach. Also great to go for dinner or tea. Sometimes food comes out at different times to others you are eating with, but it is very tasty! Overall, great experience.

The bar is nestled up on the rocks under a big tree at the south end of the beach. Great views back up the beach and sunset. Top place to sip on a drink while the kids play on the bear just in front of you.

We stayed at nearby Boathouse Hotel and the Ska bar was the perfect place to drop past for a beer to watch the sunset and listen to some reggae music, which we did most days. The location is unbelievable, the beers cold and staff friendly. We tried a meal which was OK, but quickly found better places in Kata so... More

We got rained in at Ska Bar so decided to see out the storm here. We had lunch which was good (the Tom Yum was great) and a few drinks while the rain thundered away. It was a fun way to pass the time and the view of the storm rolling in was pretty cool.
