We stayed at nearby Boathouse Hotel and the Ska bar was the perfect place to drop past for a beer to watch the sunset and listen to some reggae music, which we did most days. The location is unbelievable, the beers cold and staff friendly. We tried a meal which was OK, but quickly found better places in Kata so... More

We got rained in at Ska Bar so decided to see out the storm here. We had lunch which was good (the Tom Yum was great) and a few drinks while the rain thundered away. It was a fun way to pass the time and the view of the storm rolling in was pretty cool.

Tucked away in the southern end of Kata Beach is this great little bar. With stone seating, reggae music at night and weekly fire twirling on the beach to enjoy with idle waves lapping in the background. A pure hedonistic joy - i highly recommend!

We went here after seeing the reviews on the site. We only went for a few cocktails rather than dinner. Frankly the cocktails were horrible, small and the few seats at the bar were ok but nothing special. Sorry to disagree with all these other reviews but this was a beachside food staff with a bit of reggae music playing... More

I read about Ska Bar in a travel guide and really wanted to try it. Loved it. Had a couple of lunches and dinner there. Huge range of choices on the menu, great quality food at very cheap prices and good service. I highly recomment chicken pad thai (200THB) and mango sticky rice (100THB). Located under a banyan tree at... More

Situated at the southern end of Kata beach, Ska Bar is well worth a visit. Whilst I have only sampled the thai selection on the menu, the Ska bar caters for western tastes also. Outstanding som tum and larb gai. Cold beer, great cocktails - and if you catch the Ska on the right day or evening you may even... More

Lovely place to be to watch the sunset. It's located right at the beach, under a tree. Nice cold drinks and delicious food. Free wifi and friendly service too.

Ska bar is a little walk to the end of Kata beach and is snuggled into the cliff face amongst the rocks and vegetation. With Jamaican overtones and Bob Marly playing in the background. It's a very comfortable view and has good cheap food. I recommend this place for a relaxing drink, food and atmosphere. ~David

Went here for a drink, great atmosphere, a fire show and beautiful views of the beach. There was also a BBQwhixh they offered us for free while we were enjoying a drink. It's easy to miss, it's down a little street leading to the beach
