Had my dinner at Kwong Shop, the price was reasonable and the service was great! Will definitely recommend my friend when they go Kata.

Hello there, we ate at this restuarant last night, and glad we did!!!! Cool towels and a plate of watermelon and pineapple was served straight away. Within minutes we were playing a game of Connect Four that was sitting on the table. The restuarant was half full and had a good feel from locals and visitors alike. After we had... More

Our first night in kata we decided to try this place. Beyond horrible. The worse Thai food! Quantity is beyond small and the food does not taste well. We ordered seafood fried rice, had more tomatoes and onions than rice..(sarcasm) but really had big chunks of tomatoes and onions, never eaten Thai rice like that. BBQ chicken was a piece... More

We enjoyed our quick lunch here after a morning at Kata Beach. Had fried whole fish, padthai, shrimp paste rice, a number of other dishes, fruit shakes all around, and they were all good. The most reasonable of all restaurants we have tried in Kata, with Pad Thai at just 50thb and other dishes are 85-130thb thereabouts. Whole fried fish... More

We went here because we had read the reviews on trip advisor and we certainly weren't disappointed. The food was very good clean Thai food. We ended up eating here the three nights we were in Kata. What we noticed was a lot of the same people were there each night which is always a good sign, given the number... More

Went here on 3 occasions during our Kata stay and was very impressed with the food and the service every single time. There is a young Thai guy who does front of house and he was very helpful when we were trying to choose our fish from the chiller at the front. We tried king tiger prawns, red snapper, clams,... It took us three nights in Kata before we made it to Kwong's. Most of the other places we tried were half decent but expensive. Some were just damn disappointing. Kwong's is the only place where we'll be going back to. Very friendly and efficient staff who take great pride in the place. Fantastic seafood at very reasonable prices. Ten... More

This place, so far is the best Thai food we've had in the area! King prawns in their chili sauce was amazing. We literally took the plate and dripped all the sauce onto our spoons! The prawns were also huge and perfectly cooked! All of our dishes were well seasoned. We will be back at least a couple more times... More

This place is a gem, its family run and always busy. I absolutely loved the laid back atmosphere, the trinkets on the walls and above all else the FOOD!! We visited twice while in Kata and nowhere else compared. We had the tiger prawns in red Thai the first time, they were enormous like baby lobsters and they were by... More
