I visited Duke's on my last visit. A great little bar with great service. The whole family was looked after and the kids loved the free popcorn

“Kata's BEST HANGOUT”

Mark and Karen (owners) are very welcoming and friendly. They have really attentive and polite staff and a great selection of drinks. It is a superb bar to watch sports and meet people. As this is NOT a girlie bar the customers are much more relaxed and 'normal' - great place to meet local expats as well as travellers.

There's nothing 'girlie' about Duke's except for our monthly Chicky Net Book Exchange. Yep, the local expat ladies gather on the 2nd Monday of each month to network, drink, eat, and exchange great beach reading materials. Of course, spouses and partners are also welcome. More

Bar ok on the main street with a small but narrow seating area. We had a nice cocktail which was reasonably priced. 140 baht about £3 nothing special but staff were chatty and helpful.

I wasn't on holiday in Karon/Kata, I lived there for about 1 year. Tired of the beer/girly bars I was pleasantly suprised when I found Duke's. They do not have a kitchen. They order the food from some restaurants in the neighbourhood. Watching a F1 race for 90 mintes on a hard barstool? No thank you. But their staff is friendly.

We've been to this bar during the day and there is a great friendly atmosphere. It is owned by an American couple but the Thai bar staff speak good English and are helpful and up for a good conversation if you are! Absolutely love Duke's!!! Almost every night of my trip, I was at Duke's where I felt so comfortable and met some awesome people: the owners, Mark and Karen, the regulars, the gals behind the bar and everyone in between.
