We went for the two course meal for £9:95, to start stillton soup, lovely not too strong hot soup with a variety of breads and buns great. Next we had beef and a mixture of vegetables, even though it was tasty and fresh it was only... More

Being a regular visitor to the stables and enjoying the cheese board on a regular basis I feel I must write the last few visits have been disapponting- less French bread, less crackers, less celery and then no grapes!!! It can't cost that much for a whole french stick, bunch of celery and grapes???

The Stables starts with one advantage. It was genuinely once a stable yard but has been converted beautifully into a delightful bar and restaurant. The staff are friendly and the food is beautifully cooked. Because it is surrounded by private housing it is currently only licensed to open during daytime hours for lunch or afternoon teas. They are trying to... More

However, there is no disabled toilet and the (very pleasant) staff seemed unaware that this did not just mean WHEELCHAIR access but in fact has implications for the ambulant elderly and even those with a pushchair or buggy. There were heavy, awkward doors between the... More

Just returned from having our meal with family and friends at The Stables, West Herrington. To say it is a popular "watering hole" is an understatement, the placed was packed out. The meal that was served was excellent and at a reasonable price. The staff work their socks off and are very attentive to any needs of the customers. The... More

This is a little gem tucked away in a cul de sac. Had mid week lunch, Sunday lunch and evening meal here and never been disappointed.
