We visited for lunch on a weekday when the pub was quite busy, but not too crowded. Lovely setting & a reasonable menu, & I have to say that my chips were absolutely fantastic! My husband said his burger was also very good. Prices were reasonable-to-pricey, but service was a tad slow. Also wish we'd spotted the special OAP meal... More

This pub and restaurant is in a great location beside the Grand Union canal. As a pub it's OK, we'd previously only been for drinks & wanted to try the food. Sea bass, calamari & steak was good although steak with a few chips and cress was paltry. The burger was overcooked and I wasn't asked how I wanted my... More

we moored here for the night and had a table of 15 of us. All of us had steaks of some description and they were all cooked well and delicious. The puddings were good too. lovely peaceful setting. staff slightly disorganised but didn't detract from an enjoyable evening

On arrival at the pub we were told that a lot of food was not available, almost half the menu. Then on ordering what we wanted that wasn't available. When the food arrived it was dried out, no butter to accompany the baked potatoe, and a salad that looked like it had been sitting around for days. Not happy. Staff... More

The Globe Inn located on the canal bank is ideal to enjoy on a summers day. The inside also holds a nice, old traditional feel to it. The Sunday roast hit the spot after a long walk along the canal, however the service was poor and the bar heavily understaffed.

The number of bad reviews of this pub just goes on and on. Come on Richard W, Guest Relations Manager, you keep saying there has been more staff training, but it doesn't do much good does it? This used to be such a good pub, but that's a few years ago now, will it ever be the same again. The... More

Four of us went for a meal about 6pm on Thursday 11th May. We were greeted by total indifference. Ordered drinks then set about ordering meals. The person taking our order did not so much as smile just wrote up the order without comment. Food served was tired. Ordering sweets, we were told our choices were not available so went... More
