Expensive, slow, glass of wine £6.50! Food was dry and very unappetising, spoiled our anniversary. Definitely off our list.

Invited to my nieces birthday meal, she decided on going to the boot in the quaint village of Soulbury. Having read the reviews I was worried about going here to celebrate her special day. Arrived at the restaurant to be met by an older lady who seemed charming, was offered drinks and menus and seated. The pub is very bland... More

We visited just the other day. Nice pub, friendly staff lovely food and good service. Had a chat to a very pleasant regular who my husband knew over a cigarette who kindly warned us who to avoid. A loud man at the bar who had too much to drink, a grumpy neighbour running a taxi company from his house and... More

Great Food, reasonably priced, friendly staff with a local feel in the bar & semi formal setting in the restaurant Landlord seemed friendly enough to us yesterday evening despite other comments on here.. Great Ale's, Kids were well catered for. The Service was v.good. Recommend

Will never visit this establishment again. Waitresses/bar staff are fine but the Landlord has as much personality as a damp dishcloth, and is downright rude to customers and his staff. Would not imagine that he is employable anywhere else. I consider that a Landlord should have a bit of personality and banter, but this guy has zero. Not a good... More

Arrived at local restaurant which had good reviews with my wife and parents having booked a table in the restaurant. After being shown to our table and impressed by the menu and choice of drinks we were subjected to listening to verbal abuse of a local elderly male by a younger local. The staff left it unchecked and it was... More

We were driving around looking for somewhere and came across this place. It is a lovely village pub. Good was excellent, but I would say probably slightly more expensive than average. Around £20 each for the main meals. The only issue I had was that the strap on the high chair was broken and we have a very active 1... More

We popped into the Boot for a meal on our way home from a family day out. As we always seam to do. Once again the good was freshly cooked and well prepared. The portions were plentiful and the child's menu included dishes that was also found on the "grown ups" menu, like Pate on toast, which was a hit.... More

This is decent village pub serving decent food. The menu is not the most exiting or inspired, but the food is well cooked and there's plenty of it - the steaks are large and cooked exactly as ordered, and served with plenty of fresh vegetables. The fish dishes too are excellent. Of the two dining areas, the smaller area is... More

Lovely pub with a great restaurant. A little more expensive that the normal pub meal, but the food is of good quality and tastes superb. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.
