I was so very disappointed with this restaurant. It had been recommended by several people and I went there expecting something great. The snapper was rubbery (I thought it might have been sitting under a heat lamp or "refried" but I can't prove that) and the red wine I ordered was ice cold and not very good--I returned it. The... We were really impressed by El Makito, great seafood & lovely views of the sea from the terrace (it was pretty hot but they had fans out there & blinds too). We had lobster tails, which were huge & simple but yummy.

Fresh seafood and very nice view of the Caribean See at Naguabo, well worth the one hour drive from San Juan. I started with a conch and octopuss cocktail, perfectly maninated. Then close with lobster prepared in butter with mofongo on the side. The food was very well prepared and presented. Definitely will go back during my next visit to... More

Went to this "famous" restaurant at Puerto Rico east coast. My expectations were to enjoy our visit and very good food !! I ordered a Mojito and it was like a very sweet lemonade!! Then "salmorejo de jueyes (similar to a land crab stew) it was horrible! They just used canned crab meat and there was no flavor on it.... More

Excellent fried red snapper and some of the best asopao (rice stew - I had the camarones - shrimp - one) I had in Puerto Rico!

Returned to El Makito after six months. First time service was very good, however food flavor needed additional work. Decided for a second chance. Visited restaurant at noon time and service was even better than first time. Also, this time they have more customers. Didn't wait to be seated, very cold drinks and multiple options in Menu. Server visited the... More

Small portions, High price for the portion. However it had a good flavor. The service was bad, a mess of waiters doing nothing my plate came cold to the table also.

Decided to eat lunch here after taking a boat tour off the coast that docks behind the restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful in explaining some of the dishes. The food was flavorful and well cooked. Prices were very good as well for the portions and choices.

I ate outside on the deck overlooking the bay/lagoon on a late afternoon. Outstanding view. The wait wasn't bad. They need to have a bar for those who are waiting. I could have put down two brews before I was seated after being out walking the oceanfront. We had the seafood mixture of fish conch lobster and octopus over a... More
