Don't get me wrong...they do try hard, superb efforts in service. Nice atmosphere, gorgeous view, impeccably clean. However, the food, not all...the grilled meat which happens to be the main feature, is a huge disappointment. YES, the portions are indeed humongous...but, they just don't know how to cook grilled meat, end of it...it's always overcooked, even when you tell them... More

The view is excellent and the food is just very delicious. Based on Greek theme the restaurant is very good. Need to book your table in advance and make sure you reach the restaurant before 5:00pm so see the beautiful sunset.

This was my second visit to Thalassa and the good news is that the place has maintained its standards over the years. Special tip - go there around 4.30 and enjoy a long evening with sundowners and snacks while you watch the sun set. Book ahead and ask for table 3 overlooking the sea. Must have the prawn gyros and... More

If you are in GOA, you cannot miss this place. The place transports you to a totally different world with great ambience, food, some very interesting greek experience. For me, this works perfectly during sunset. It is amazing to watch the SUN coming down with a great backdrop of classy machans and the always friendly staff.

We went during July 2014 and were disappointed to see that it was shut due to monsoon... and it will be shut till October. Just to help fellow travellers, I am writing this review. Will definitely visit Thalassa during peak season. Ciao

This Greek restaurant in Vagator is a mecca for the very well heeled traveller to Goa looking to be pampered while viewing gorgeous sunsets. Thallassa serves pricy food and drinks that are undeniably good and so to are they pricy. The best time to go is around sunset where one can have a late lunch or early dinner along with... More

A great location, awesome greek food and throw in greek hunks putting up a dance for the ladies - Thalassa was all this and more. An open greek themed restaurant ( with rooms to let) , Thalassa is on the banks of the Vagator beach and has the most spectacular view. Sure the food is not cheap, but the ambience... More

This place serves some good greek food but the location and the ambience is super. Its situated on top of the cliff that overlooks the beach. Ideal time to get in is about 60-90minutes before sunset so that you can enjoy it. Make sure you book well in advance else you may miss out.
