Unique boutique restaurant

We thoroughly enjoyed dinners at this little restaurant. Roberto (owner and chef) also taught a fabulous cooking class where we learned to make cheese, rolls, pizza and pasta. Most of his foods are fresh. One night we had fresh tuna that was caught the day before by a friend of his. We often... read more

We stayed at this hotel and ate all our breakfasts and one dinner at this lovely restaurant. Roberto is a great chef and a really nice person. The food is clearly prepared with love. Roberto's baking is also excellent as he baked us up some fresh croissants for breakfast. We particularly enjoyed the dinner rolls which each was made with... More

WE got heat stroke and would have appreciated air conditioning. Loved the authenticity of the hotel. Lovely garden with views over the town and fresh herbs growing

We ended up eating at this restaurant twice in a week as you couldn't beat the service and attention Roberto (owner) gives his customers. Nothing was too much trouble and if it wasn't quite how you liked it on the menu or the fixed dishes didn't meet your palate, Roberto ensured they did. The second night we had live music... More

I have to agree with Tracy, a recent reviewer. We had a similar experience. The hotel where this restaurant was located seems like an adorable tucked away gem, and the dining room was lovely, but the food was mediocre. Indeed, our worst meal during a week in Italy. Perhaps it was because we ate on a Sunday evening, because our... More

Friendly service and great flavours from fresh produce produced by chef Roberto. He regularly comes out and talks to the customers. We had a fish dish which he had caught himself. The little breads which he makes are excellent.

Chef Roberto makes the most delectable dishes. I also took his cooking class...and realize that so many things are much more difficult & timely to prepare than I imagined.

Palazzo Catalani is a charming old hotel tucked away on a quiet alley in Soriano. The restaurant and the hotel looks offered much promise, however our waitress was not very nice, she was impatient and not helpful. The meal also, was not as delicious as all the reviews promised, and was perhaps our weakest meal during our 10 days in... More

Fabulous food, well prepared and served. Imaginative if small menu. Reasonable prices. It would be good to have options for a more trattoria style as well perhaps.
