Expensive lunch

We missed breakfast by 2 mins and they refused to allow us to order of the breakfast menu which was fair but harsh. Staff were very passive and whilst the food was ok it was very dear for all that we got. Wouldn't go back for lunch.

Hi thanks for your review. We do indeed stop breakfasts at 12 especially when it is busy we have a vast menu and to serve lunches along side breakfasts is impossible. I am sorry you feel lunch was expensive however we are one of the cheaper places compared to the pubs & restaurents to eat in hillsborough. All our food... More

Stopped here on a Saturday afternoon after visiting Hillsborough Castle / forest park. Handy location to walk to just in centre and looked nice and quaint. Seating available both on ground level and also a small number of seats upstairs with a bit of a view out the back able to see the church spire. Staff were friendly and welcoming....and... More

Very busy and appeared to have a great selection of home cooked food. My partner had the soup which was excellent. I ordered the waffle with vanilla and honeycomb ice cream. Sadly this was a huge disappointment. The ice cream was tasteless, very plain and lacked any flavour. No bits in the ice cream. We're the maltersers meant to be... More

Regularly visit Humble Pie. Friendly atmosphere and lovely staff. Pancakes with bacon and maple syrup absolutely delicious (my staple breakfast on a Saturday!). Be warned - massive amount and one portion is more than enough for 2!

Food just ok. Attitude of what seemed like the manager/ boss.. Terrible! So cheeky to other staff.. Huffed and puffed infront of us and just downright rude. Sort it out. Will not be back

my husband and I visited for lunch in December. We're ignored when we arrived and eventually told to have a seat. Waited half an hour and left as no-one came anywhere near our table. Restaurant was not overly busy and the staff seemed to put their heads down to avoid acknowledging that there were actually customers there. We were angry... More

Just love their scones, big and lovely and light! All their dishes are good wholesome meals, 'just like gran used to make it' very worthwhile to visit after a walk round the forest park in the village

Loved the maltesercino (cappucino with maltesers). The cakes are homemade and the couple I tried were delicious! I have already been there twice! Staff is very friendly!

I stopped in to Humble Pie for a bite of breakfast on Saturday morning. We all had a fried breakfast that was excellent across the board. Prices reasonable, service very good and a nice place to be. Highly recommended!
