Having dined in the restaurant on the 29th November 2014 in the company of a recently retired catering lecturer (with 30 years experience) we were delighted with both the food and the service. I have to compliment both the chefs and the service staff for what was a very enjoyable evening. We could not have faulted it in any way.... More

Only fault was my boyfriend ordered the chowder for starter and when it arrived the bowl was 3/4 empty. And when he enquired about this the waitress agreed and he had to wait at least 10 minutes for another one to arrive so we believe he got the end of the pot. He was still charged for it

Went for dinner - 4 girls sat 22nd nov - food was good as always but the service which has never been great was awful. Glasses weren't cleared off table and everything was done in a way which made you feel like you were putting the staff out. Asked for bill which came but no one came back for 20... More

We recently had a meal at the pheasant after a family funeral, the food was delicious and of a very high quality. The service was attentive, professional, friendly but not intrusive, the staff couldn't have done enough to help. It was reasonably priced and I could not recommend this place enough, the whole family said how great it was.

The last time we visited The Pheasant, our daughter was about 2 months old. We'd had a good day out so got brave and went for dinner - not fun. However, our daughter is now 2 and a half (ish) so we thought we'd try again. First off - this is a brilliant venue if you have children. Very child... More

Food was ok but the service really wasn't great, had to ask for water three times, once we had main course we were completely ignored, I ordered another glass of wine to have with my main course and it never arrived, was disappointed but I will go back as I... 3 Course meal and Coffee for £30. Menu was good with plenty of choice. Food quality and presentation were excellent. Staff service was excellent also. Staff have obviously been trained. We ordered and each person was given what they ordered without having to be asked their order. My only quibble was that I ordered Brie de Meaux Fondue for a starter... More

The Pheasant is a charming country Pub and Resturant situated in the countryside near Annahilt. My friend and I had a wonderful two course lunch for £12.95. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere was very convivial. I would recommend this hostelry for a visit
