We ate here 4 times and almost all the food was very good indeed. Apart from the Pasta Con Sarde and the Canoli which were not the best we have tried in Sicily, dishes we enjoyed were the Couscous (12 Euro), the excellent and filling Pizza Trapanese (6 Euro) which was cooked in a wood fire oven, their lobster pasta... The restaurant itself is set within a little enclosed square, which is quite pretty. Approaching it, I did feel like it was a bit of a tourist trap, so I wasn't expecting a very good experience. They did prove me wrong, however, as the food and service was pretty good. Prices reasonable too.

Food was excellent, especially the aubergines cooking Sicilian style...quite delicious. Swordfish was excellent too and the location is excellent being inside the Scopello courtyard. The house wine was excellent and prices reasonable. The waiter however was very unhelpful and quite miserable...quite a contrast to usual Sicilian or Italian hospitality.

Il Baglio is nothing special. Good location next to the entrance to Scopello - quite a number of tables as well, but the waiters are working fast enough to serve the big crowds. Service is quite average, not engaged and not interested - yet fast and efficient. Interior is nothing special hence the place is not recommended for any romance/business... More

A lovely location inside a Baglio courtyard. We had a mixed experience. One friend had a pizza and it was quite good whereas those of us who ordered pasta were disappointed. We were served by various waiters and waitresses - most very good except for one very cranky male who seemed to think that he had more important things to... More

A cheep and cheerful pizzeria in the walled town square (Baglio). Family run quite obviously and clearly sees no need to upgrade itself (though I assume the sons/daughters of the imposing patriarch might have plans?). The pizzas are good, filling but the food begins to deteriorate if you choose something from the 'restaurant menu'. Its a pizzeria and if you... More

We went there with 4 adults and 4 kids, the setting was perfect for us, as the restaurant is situated in a small courtyard where the kids could run around while we were waiting for the food. Also it opens quite early (at 7 pm). When we came the restaurant was almost empty, by the time we left around 8... More
