Local and excellent

This is just a gem to visit. We were staying in Florence but our Italian friends took us there for pizza and dolci. The place is really cozy with an amazing view of green hills and vineyards,if you're seated on the terrace. The pizzas and dolci is awesome and place is very local Italian!

Best Pizza in Chianti! We got there by chance, on our way back to Siena. It was a very pleasant night, warm temperature and romantic sunset... Decided to stop for a Pizza. Googled some options, it sounded good plus a nice garden. Wow! Once there, a lot better than expected. Charming and authentic restaurant with a very very jummy pizza.... More

Very popular local restaurant, really need to book or risk being turned away. Full of locals which is always a good sign. Really good fresh pizzas, just what us weary travellers needed. Definitely recommend this place.

This place is a gem. We arrived late one evening and they accomodated us...even if it was in a basement location! They were booked solid. We went back two more times because the service is excellent, the food...traditional and wonderful...and the menu was super. It was booked everytime. There were three or four large areas .....and this place was always... More

At first, and when I heard that the restaurant specialises in fish and Neapolitan pizzas, I felt a bit surprised. But there was no need to worry! The restaurant is in the pretty little town of San Donato, just a mile or so off the main road from Siena to Florence. Relatively easy to park with a lot of one-way... More

Lovely thin crust pizzas in a lovely little town. Good service. Although surprisingly quiet when we visited. Would recommend.

This was the BEST pizza we had in all of our travels through Italy. We were sent to the restaurant by a local wine and olive oil producer who told us the pizza chef was an award winner. After eating his pizza, it was not hard to see why. We loved the crust stuffed with fresh ricotta and topped with... More

We had been in Italy for a week and only had mediocre pizza. FInally at a cooking class in San Donato, our teacher suggested we try Palazzo Pretorio for a good Neapolitan Style pizza. He was right. The pizza was great and the service was excellent. One word of caution, do make a booking. The place does get packed.
