Antipasti Buonissimo

San Gregorio at the tip of the Salento peninsula is a very nice place and not too crowded with people. It is worth a visit of its own. But Bar del Moro, which does not look very much from the road, is another reason for a visit. Just try the antipasti and you will understand what I mean. Buonissimo!

Very great place to have drink and fried calamari in front of a breathless sunset in Salento. I've been there for some drinks at sunset time (I know there is also a restaurant, but I've never been there) Unfortunately, when I was there (on July and August), there was no service at the tables, so that my friends and me... Great location looking over the ionian sea. Perfect place to stop for aperitif and watch the sunset. Also good for fresh seafood when you're ready for dinner. The terrace on the roof is beautiful with a nice breeze. Try the antipasti which has a selection of vegetarian and fish dishes from the Salento region. Food was flavorful, but not the... More

We were staying at Hotel Montecallini and walked down the hill to check out dining options. We were greeted very warmly by the charming waitress at this bar and shown to a table down on the verandah deck area to have a drink with nibbles and watch the sunset. Magic. We decided to eat at Bar del Moro which filled... More

The place is very nice but there was nothing of the good italian kitchen. the place looked dirty too and there wasn't a menu list. The fish was really cooked to much. I would say that is a trap, you get enticed because of the beautiful view but then really you get deluded. i do not have to say much... More

Went here in late Sept. The waiter came and asked us what we wanted.Well, I wanted to see the menu. The waiter said, oh, well here there isn't a menu. So, my husband just pointed to something on the other guests table and said I'll take that. Hmm, so I just ordered a typical pasta dish I knew they'd have,... More

Fully agreed with others comments ! Nice simply food, good drinks, beautifull view in front of the sea and the sunset.

Most interesting discovery of this summer. I travel in Puglia for a lot of years, but this was the first I tried this nice restaurant/bar in San Gregorio, the sea part of Patù. You can eat very close at sea a lot of sea food (appetizers, starters, pasta and so on). The staff is very kind and helpful and all... More

There's no a menu. The owner suggests the same antipasto (fried fish, very chewy, not fresh, likely from Pacific Ocean not from Adriatic Sea), the same Spaghetti allo Scoglio (likely low quality defrosted mussels) every day! Since there is not a menu with courses and the related prices they upped the bill of a 20%. Last but not least the... More

Aperitivo is fine, no service After 8 p.m. Quality of the restaurant very low compared to Salento's standard. Fried fish was chewy and not cleaned. They tried to overprice the bill of twenty percent!
