Awesome Location with OK food

The location is like many other Seychelles Restaurants perfectly located at another perfect beach. If you have kids, a must go as they have 8 giant turtles which you can pet and it seems like the like it. The food is ok. Unfortunately the grill the fish in oil which I personally think could be done... read more

Had a delicious fresh octopus salad but it's expensive for what it offers. The view is nice but that's it. The menu is no more than a few dishes, expensive and pay attention to the fact that there is a mandatory 5% service tax (WHY?) plus VAT which is not included in the menu prices! You end up paying +22%... More

did not eat there...so no idea about the restaurant however the bar with sandy floor by one of the nicest beaches you can imagine is a place you won't soon forget.

The place is nice. Get your shoes off as the floor is white sand. Amazing location, right by the beach. There are some big granite stones close by, amazing for pictures. The staff is really nice. They serve creole food. I really enjoyed my dish, shark steak. First time i ate this. The side dishes were really nice as well.... More

Excellent location right on the beach. Staff were ok and the food was good, although a little pricey. Nice to see the old tortoises, but for pity's sake - give them a bigger pen. They looked really sad and had very little room to stretch their legs!

We are at Chez Batista whilst on holiday with friends. The meal was a creole buffet which was supposed to be served at one but was about half an hour late. They seat the whole Resturant before the food becomes available and then there are huge lines for the food. This is not just at this Resturant but at buffets... More

Pricey but worth it for the experience. Location and the food were both excellent. Driving from the north you will see a large billboard advertising Batista's but the restaurant is still several kilometres away. Another sign directs you to a left hand turn down a dirt road. Check out the turtles in a pen near the property.

Situated directly on Takamaka beach the location of this restaurant could not be more appealing. The presence of age-old giant turtles is a lovely bonus. The largely wooden restaurant is built in a nice tropical style with open access to the beach and beautiful sea views. We had lunch there and the food was very good. Prices are not cheap... More

the restaurant is located on my favourite beach on Mahe. Hence a must do. On the first day we had some a la carte food (too late for buffet lunch) and we were very disappointed. However, seeing and tasting the buffet the next day made up for it. It was yummy - fresh and food is good value for money.... More
