Quex has amongst other things a secret garden, lots of walks around the grounds, but the barn offers not only a shop where they sell such a high quality of merchandise, organic, and locally grown, but has a thriving restaurant. Its worth booking if you want a full meal, but all refreshments have that home made appeal. Highly recommend it... More

The place is worth the visit. The lunch was very good quality, although the service was a bit slow. The shop is full of lots of different and delicious products. I wanted to buy everything. Nice biscuit tins to buy as a present and very good price too.

Quex Barn has two restaurants, this one is in Birchington (the other is in Canterbury) The food is usually of a good standard, and is particularly of good value when they are promoting their special lunch prices. Iy is good to see the meat coming in from their butcher (in the shop section of the Barn) and being taken into... More

We have visited the barn for breakfast and lunch and have also attended private functions there. The food is lovely for breakfast and lunch. I can't comment on evenings as we wouldn't choose this setting for an evening meal. I think because it feels more like a cafe than a restaurant. The staff do need a bit of training in... More

Breakfast rather expensive and not really good value. Rather thrown on the plate and the eggs for the three of us had obviously being under the grill

We have been to Quex Barn on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The menu is varied and full of delicious ingredients. I understand that a great many of them are from Quex farms. The staff are always friendly no matter how busy they are. Prices are very reasonable especially when considering the quality of the food. As a... More

Having been to the Canterbury equivalent many times, my friends and I were really disappointed with the quality of the food and poor service. The Caeser Salad leaves were not crunchy (Cos) leaves, but looked like a salad bag of mixed leaves. The croutons oozed oil when chewed and I didn't see much in the way of parmesan shavings. The... We have visited quex barn for lunch on about 3 occasions and must say the food is of a good standard, all home produced and fresh. The main issue is that if it's busy and you are not able to sit in the main restaurant then it's not great, the tables are basically within the shop so feels like your... More
