Four of us went along to have breakfast. I had the haddock and poached eggs which was very good. The full English comes in 3 sizes....Standard, Large and Mega!!The two men both had the mega full English. Wow, they were big! They thoroughly enjoyed it. What we liked about the place is that they use local produce. The service was... More

On New Year's Eve we had a private function at the Barn. We have a private room. The meal was wonderful. The beef melted in the mouth and everything was piping hot. Our guests were thrilled. They appreciated the well cooked meal. I would recommend Quex Barn to anyone for a private function or even just for breakfast or lunch.... More

I have just had lunch at the barn, the food was ok but nothing special. My personal opinion is that the restaurant requires a good manager, the waitresses were very friendly but not directed, the food came before the cutlery though we had been sat down for quite a while,we then had to wait for serviettes. It was quite chilly... More

Quite a nice restaurant that is part of a posh farm shop in a barn set up. I go here fairly often specifically for a favourite breakfast of natural smoked haddock with perfect poached egg and granary toast. The food is all good, but the place often feels like it is on the edge of not being able to cope... More

We were a group booking & cannot complain at all about the food. The beef was amazing, the food hot & the lemon cheesecake creamy but with a pleasant tang to it. The biggest problem they have here is creating an atmosphere. The radiators were red hot but the draughts from the restaurant to bar & kitchen to restaurant let... More

I use to have great meals here but I have just got back from what is one of the worst meals and service I have had anywhere, the waitress did not want to be there, she got our order wrong twice, we was not offered drinks while we waited, the coffee was cold and bitter, while we was eating my... Booked Quex Barn for a group evening Christmas meal for 30 people having never eaten there before, and boy, what fantastic food! As we had pre booked, we all had made our menu choices. I had the gravalax starter, turkey main and christmas pud. Large portions, nice and hot, with yorkshire puddings to die for! Asking around our group, all... More

We had a great family lunch, good food at a good price but it is always very busy and you may have to wait for a table.

We've been here a few times, it's nothing special, it's just OK You wouldn't miss much if you drove past, think they do well as there isn't too much competition.

We had a lovely lunch at Quex barn on Saturday, arrived early and was seated straight away ( be warned by the time we left it was jam packed and people were waiting for tables) plenty of staff available and quick service throughout. I had a jacket potato with cheese and homemade coleslaw, it was a large portion with a... More
