Great spot on the river

This restaurant is in a great location, sitting on the river at Noosaville. We had some delicious food at the Boathouse during the week - fish and chips and a steak. It was beautifully cooked and very tasty.

Had fairly high expectations of this restaurant but the food was a real let down. Nobody really enjoyed their meal, it was edible but only just. My scallops and prawns tasted like they were cooked the day before and the prawns were really dry. I don't know if it was because they had a busy night before with the food... More

It's important to remember this was part of an event in The Noosa International Food and Wine Festival- so not your standard dining experience. However the chef mentioned that several of the dishes we tried were in fact on the Regular Menu, so I think we safely say if you choose them you will not be disappointed. We arrived by... More

I was dubious when my wife suggested eating here. From the front it looks like a takeaway which is what they also offer but stepping inside I was surprised. The walls are glass all around offering spectacular views of the river and scenery. The local ferry pulls up at the back entrance so you can leave the car at home.... More

We arrived early so that we could enjoy a glass of wine in the Sunset Bar and what a view especially at sunset. the bar staff were friendly and set the tone for the evening. we sat at our table which was against the window overlooking the river so already... We ordered kids fish and chips, salt and pepper calamari and fish of the day (mahi mahi) from the takeaway area and paid over $50! The fish was crumbed and deep fried for so long that every piece was burnt and fish very dry on the inside. The calamari was also disappointing. For the amount of money we paid, I... More

For a relaxed truly waterfront experience in Noosa. Sitting on top of the Noosa River on Gympie Terrace the Boathouse specialises in fresh seafood but also caters to non-seafood lovers. I chose the "baked wild caught qld scallops with sea urchin butter, apple and cress - absolutely sublime. For main the pork belly with thai red curry, Asian vegetables, pickled... More
