We went for lunch with the family. A modest and well prices cafe, conveniently located off a popular beach and chosen as they were child friendly. We had very friendly service. There was a good list of food options and once ordered the food arrived quickly and the whole turnaround was quite fast and we were back on the beach... More

We had very good fish and octopus curry there. Unfortunately we couldn't taste the bat the evening we had dinner there. It's a modest place, but good. No choice of wine, only house wine.

Good family restaurant on the edge of the resort. Pleasant building, friendly staff, authentic cuisine - including fruit bat curry - which is really nice if you don't mind picking the small bones out every few seconds.

The food was very good and tasty, wasn't cheap as lots of other people said but to be fair we probably had expensive choices and various extras. My husband had fruit bat curry and loved the taste and the experience of eating bat. I went for the fish curry and it was great. I found strange to read previous comments... More

We enjoyed this place. Good Creole food, nice staff, lovely place. The prices were good too. Not to many people when we had dinner.

This place is a family run place with a lot of local charm and energy. The fish curry was tasty, though job fish is not my favourite (other places use the more expensive red snapper), but the curry sauce itself was amazing. The fish croquettes were actually fish cakes, but were also pretty tasty! I would visit again for the... More

Was told that this was a very nice place. After been there I really do not understand why(may be taxidrivers have huge kickbacks?) unless you love to sit alone (app 9 pm) a few metres from main road(not so much traffic) eating totally uninteresting food with a carafe of totally uninteresting wine (forget the word winelist). After all an experience you... More

The plate of food was huge and just so fresh and delicious. Service is fast and the restaurant is just across a very quiet road from the beach. Great value for money too: large fish and chips, coke=$13

This restaurant has nice local creole food. We had dinner here wile in Praslin Island in Seychelles. The Chicken curry we have tried here was spectacular. Prices are good but service could be better. One portion of food can serve two people. definitely recommended.

I live close to La Goulue and I have now been eating here regularly for 6 months. The food is excellent, especially considering the price and the portion size. There are no added service or tax on the menu prices; what you see is what you pay. All friends and relatives who have visited Praslin have found La Goulue to... More
