We stayed in Raffles and one of our taxi drivers suggested to visit Cafe des Arts. Was a great idea to take his recommendation :-) Great atmosphere, good service, amazing food and good wine selection. Prices are on the high end, but overall value for money is good!

Gents; no trousers, no food. You are warned but the joyful, professional and helpful staff can fix even that. It is refined whatever you get. It's fine cuisine with loads of small additional and tasty gestures. To our taste and probably the reason for its deserved popularity, the food is a nudge too "retenu". The chef doesn't "let go" which... More

Dear Martin P, We thank you for your review. Indeed we have a reputation to maintain and therefore a minimum dress code of long trousers for gents is a sign of appreciation and respect for an evening of fine dining! Our lunchtime dining experience in shorts by the beach is the perfect setting that you would have appreciated as well.... More

We went to Cafe des Arts on the last evening of our holiday. It has a beautiful setting right on the beach, attentive staff and live music. The food was very good, but not outstanding. However, the whole experience made our last night in the Seychelles very memorable.

The restaurant has an entry from the beach side and has a very romantic aroma. The back side entry (from Berjaya’s lane) will take you to Restaurant’s sitting area directly and also to its boutique shop. They also offer Creole’ dishes but dishes here were having a lot of variety than the basic creolean’ dishes we had over the days.... More

A wonderful dinner with good service and a great location. A high end offering on Praslin with a wonderful mix of creole and non-creole meals. Great location, nicely renovated, wonderful staff and manager. Highly recommended. Would just suggest that they add more fans or allow dinner to be served on the "beach tables" reserved for drinks - where the sea... More

Unfortunately we have been at Cafe des Arts only once in August, 2011, the year when shark had killed 2 divers at Anse Lazio. Definitely, together with Chateau des Feuilles restaurant (I cannot count Raffles, because I have never been there) the place is the best restaurant of Praslin Island. If you stay at La Reserve delivery to the restaurant... More
