Tremendous hidden jewel

Great fine dining , alfresco restaurant on the beach at Cote D'Or , Praslin. A MUST for anyone staying on the Island Food is first class - as is the service. Creole fish curry, crab & sweet potato croquettes are exceptional- as is the duck in honey sauce. Wines are simple but sufficient choice. Ask... read more

We were attracted by not only its location but the reputation. It is definitely the place on Cote D'Or. However our expectations were not quite matched by our own experience. Admittedly we only had a light meal but this should have been more exciting than it was. It was a Sunday so the staff were busy. It was our first... More

Delicious food with great service in a special location. Portions were a good size but not large. The food was elegantly presented. The beachside location created a relaxed mood.

With an extraordinary great location next to the beach this restaurant make an attempt to be the "fine dining" of the island. Dress code for men is strictly long trousers, posh interior and you do not see many locals eating here. First thing they stick you with the drink&wine menu before seeing the food menu. We had the grouper fish... More

We wanted to booked another restaurant the 1st night we arrived but ended up coming here. It was a pleasant surprise though! The restaurant is hiding inside the hotel, if you are driving, you have to drive on your left when you hit MCB at Cote d'or, then drive along for 5 mins before you see the Whitetip Diver. We... Cafe Des Arts was always on our wish list of restaurant to visit and our anniversary and Praslin visit was the perfect time to cross it off the list. Reservation is a must. On time hotel transfer. The restaurant is perfectly nested on the beach of Cote D'ór and served by some friendly staff. Our table was spectacularly decorated to... More

We went to the restaurant after being let down by the Bon Plume. We had a pleasant interlude with a good lunch in a beautiful location. We found the price reasonable and the staff polite and helpful

This has the reputation to be one of the best restaurants on the island. It is certainly in a stunning location, and our dinner there was fine, but there definitely was no wow-factor. I think the thing that was wrong was that it is Creole food in with kind of a gastro twist, which doesn't seem to work (in any... More

The food for lunch was just ok - especially for the high price. The portions were small - especially compared to the portions at some of the nearby restaurants. We did like our cocktails and the location by the beach. Service was good.

My husband organised (through the hotel we were staying at) dinner at the restaurant as a surprise for my birthday. We arrived to such a wonderfully warm welcome, all the staff sincerely, yet without making a "scene" (I'm not the type that likes public attention) wished me a happy birthday and when we were taken to our table, they had...
