This place is very inconspicuous. It's old and not very attractive but it doesn't matter! Food is just awesome. It's fresh and traditional and really well done. Prices are better than in other restaurants or similar. If you search real Greek traditional food. That's the place! We ate there once and didn't go anywhere else during our stay. And the... More

We ate at this restaurant three times during our visit in the last two weeks in September. The first two times the food was great we had fresh fish the pizza was lovely. On our last visit which admittedly was in the last few days of the season we ordered pizza and it was awful. The bases were the pre... More

What a great place to have a traditional Greek meal! One first impressions it does look a bit run down but Captain Michael is quite a lovely man always welcoming , everything is cooked in a clay oven and the food is mouth watering , very traditional Greek taverna were there is no rush and occasionally you may get the... What a great place to have a traditional Greek meal! One first impressions it does look a bit run down but Captain Michael is quite a character larger than life and full of stories! The food is prepared in a clay oven by his brother and is second to none! Wine is also home made and delicious!

Had dinner here one evening. Because I'd been eating traditional greek food all week I decided to have a pizza instead......what can I say.....it was absolutely bloody lovely, can't remember the last time I enjoyed a pizza so much. My partner had the veal which was tender and succulent. The house white wine is gorgeous and very cheap. Captain Mahalis... More

Look, the place is basically a shack on he road but don't be put off. We went on a whim and because we didn't want to walk any further! The main himself is a character and full of chat. My wife and i ordered two simple Greek dishes - stifado and kleftico. The dishes came in simple earthenware pots and... More

The Captain is always there to entertain guests, food is good, they use a big traditional oven, Fish is fresh, and the greek traditional dishes are excellent. The place looks like it needs some work, maybe that's why it doesn't attract so many people

We so loved our visit to this place, simply to see the Captain doing what he does best as he's such a great character! Good typical Greek food, though we ordered far too much and couldn't eat it all!! A really nice evening, and everyone should visit here once if only to meet the Captain!!

It does look a little run down from the road side, but the owner Captain Michales is a real character...if you are in a rush don't bother as he goes at his own speed...I think he just likes your company...not expensive..but food is pretty standard

Visited the captain Michaels restaurant it was probably the best food for that I have eaten. The captain was entertaining and was proud to tell you about his own reared animals. He home made wine was good , a really good night , please don't be put of if it looks empty.
