We ate here twice during our stay in Troulos. Captain Nikos greets everyone and all receive a glass of ouzo while reading the menu - a nice touch. The menu is quite varied and reasonably priced. For the non meat eater there are a range of non meat dishes which is not always the case in Greek restaurants. I had... More

Visited here for lunch. The owner was very friendly and food was nice. We were just put off a little bit by the fact that the owner had some friends sat drinking who appeared to be arguing and shouting (cant tell though as I don't speak Greek) we just felt rather awkward!!!

We mainly had drinks here and a couple of tasty lunches, but Captain Niko seemed pretty busy most nights too. The mix of tables and chairs is a bit eclectic, and the place could perhaps do with a refresh but that's part of its charm. Too many places in Greece are getting too "Pan Euro lookalike". Its a family business... More

No trip is complete without a few visits to the rustic charm of Apaloosa and the friendly welcome from the Captain and his wife and son. It is one of the original style of tavernas with lovely blue painted chairs and tables. The menu has been the same for the last 10 years but it is still good food. You... More

The ouzo we were given as a welcome gives a clue to this place where the food is well cooked and authentic. The kleftico was delicious and the stuffed vine leaves a tasty starter. We had a very peaceful evening here .

We called in here for a drink after eating elsewhere and can only comment on the bar. Staff were not particularly friendly seeming to be more interested in playing the music via his laptop. The one thing that was noticeable was that all of our party seemed to be savaged by mozzies. The bar area is surrounded by trees which... More
