Dinner in May 2015. We had delicious garlic-fried prawns as a starter and then the "house specialty" - Chilean Hake in sauce which was superb! The cabbage side order was also very tasty. The house wine was OK. The atmosphere was very nice with a mixture of locals and tourists. Overall - highly recommended.

Lombinhos de Vitela ! Must try. Home made food, cosy place, very friendly staff. Not a fancy place but a honest, typical place to eat. The quality of the food is great.

My girlfriend and I had our best Portuguese restaurant experience in this small place. It is a family restaurant where the daughter is the chef and father and brother are helping out as waiter and in the bar. The food is wunderfull, the family is so nice and we are really looking forward to come back!!

The service was friendly. The host was very kind and enjoyed banter with his customers. The food was tasty and the menu choices were excellent. The ambiance was relaxed, fun and unhurried. So good that we ate there two nights in a row. Bravo.

This was definitely, by far, the best restaurant visited on our trip to Portugal. In fact, one could even say it should be considered one of the best restaurants in Portugal. The atmosphere upstairs is incredibly homely and welcoming; the waiter is both friendly and funny - constantly entertaining all of his guests in fluent languages, English among them. Fried... More

Friendly staff. Good food at reasonable price. The house wine was not my favourite selection though.

Loved the friendly service, tasty, traditional and generously portioned food, great house wine (as you would expect in the Douro region), cosy atmosphere with hand written notes of thanks on the walls and pictures with "famous" people and low price! You must go here!

Incredibly friendly owner, his sister is the master of the kitchen. Even our little one loved her fish, so we all had a very agreeable time there.

Working our way through the Mesao Frio restaurants we came to the best so far. Entreance through a very small bar, we were directed to the restaurant upstairs. Entering, it felt like entering someone's front room. Attentive service by the owner who speaks several languages - when we entered only 1 table was occupied, when we left all were full... More
