The first night in Faja Grande we went to this restaurant. It's located in a small cosy house in the outskirts of the village. The interior is also very nice. But it stops there! The service was very slow and not very welcoming. We ordered pancakes as out first course. We got some tiny "things" which looked like an old... More

we went to this place following the enthusiastic reviews. The place is indeed nice and cosy, but the food is quite disappointing. First of all, almost everything on Flores is bio, so not a big deal; second, the food was really basic and overpriced (eg a small bowl of soup made of carrot and cabbage and probably nothing else costs... Most beautiful restaurant in Flores. Very cosy. Romantic little garden. Good Italian cuisine in a beautiful setting.

A small place where the owner serves mainly vegetarian food of really good quality. We came here 2 nights in a row and had great food both times. If you are on the island you must visit.

I ate here three nights in a row (there aren't many places to choose from, but even so, this place really stood out). Monica is a very welcoming host, who does everything, from showing you to your table, to taking your order, to cooking your meal and doing the washing up! Italian influenced cooking with local ingredients - exceptionally fresh... More

This was the really best restaurant we had in Azores! Only fresh & local products, all was very fresh, it was perfect! We went twice, and you should taste the "segreto di dama", so great desert!

highly recommended! The meal was really the best we had since in Açores. A pity we discovered this place in our last day in Flores. Superb homemade cakes.... :-P

Casa da Vigia is the best restaurant in the Flores Island. Given that the island is so small, this doesn't say much. But the truth is the restaurant is really excellent. Monica Binda will prepare you the most delicious meals using mostly natural ingredients, often from her own garden. The cuisine is Italian, but with a very interesting mix of... More

Monica the owner is italian anda very good cook! We went there 4 times in one week and every evining was better than the others. Really good, simple food, excellent pastas (try the penne with curry and yogurt), marvelous fish fillets (milanese style) and delicious desserts. All home made with biological ingredients. On top of that the kindness and hospitality that... More

Don't understand what you can like in this restaurant. When you arrive the door is closed and locked. welcome! The food is not especially good. I had a "salad with tuna from pico"which was in fact not fresh tuna on a bit of green salad . The fresh fish was filets not extrardinary. But mist of all the quantities were... More
