Been one of the best fish restaurants in the Algarve forever and GiGi's wife is a fantastic host. Lovely walk over a long wooden bridge and the sea is in front of you.

Our favourite seafood restaurant in Quinta Do Lago. The holiday hasn't started until we have lunch at Gigi's. To start, fresh crisp salad with local vinaigrette,King Prawns with peppers and garlic sizzling, The freshest of fish, simply cooked over charcoal, or if preordered the amazing Gigi prawn curry…Heaven! All this enjoyed with a spectacular view of the Rio Formosa on... More

Had amazing seafood lunch at Gigi's today - the scarlet prawns are hard to source and very expensive - all prices are up on a board near the fish - local fish and clams Are very cheap - don't order the prawns if you are hard up ! Lunch was so memorable - go if you are prepared to pay... More

The food, whilst restricted to fish looked impressive in the chilled cabinet, but was limited in choice, and ultimately we paid the penalty for this and through our enjoyment and most of all our wallet. Both meals were over powered by garlic and detracted from the subtle tastes we were looking to enjoy. The staff were brisk and not overly... More

The bad reviews on TA about this place are mystifying. It's a wonderful little restaurant and I would heartily recommend a visit (we went twice in a week). Park in the beach car park (free in October but €15/day in peak season) Walk across the boardwalk that covers the bird sanctuary Go early and ensure you book (at 12:30 the... More

The fish and clams are to die for and you will be paying for the best. But it all seems worth it when you consider the location, the views over the bird sanctuary and the kip on the beach in the warm afternoon sun.

Great looking place in a quiet location. Not overly suited to my fish allergic wife but there was one meat option. Kind of got my measurements wrong and my order lost in translation and I ended up with Dover Sole for 4. Just for me!! I ate it too and enjoyed every bit. Didnt enjoy the bill though when I... More

Myself and several friends called at GG's for drinks. Whilst enjoying our drinks a platter of prawn passed by which looked very appertising so we ordered two. the bill came to over two hundred euro's.one of our friends thought that they had got the decimal point in the wrong place. When we attempted to pay with a credit card they... More
