Don't go to Gigi's expecting any bargains, everything here is pricey. And the service can be patchy, especially at busy times. But with those caveats out of the way, I have to say Gigi consistently serves the best seafood around. I've been here once a year for several years now, and I'm already looking forward to next year's prawn curry... More

Fresh fish, busy and a local hang out for the villa owners close by. Food is freshly prepared, simple and tastes great BUT be prepared to pay for it. This place is expensive, over priced for ultimately what you get. Enjoy the food but check out you want to spend this much on your lunch before you sit down otherwise... More

Rustic Portuguese restaurant specialising in an extensive selection of fish and seafood (although some meat dishes are available). Ate at lunchtime and the food was marvellous. We had king size prawns that were beautiful. The meal was accompanied with a simple mixed salad. The restaurant itself is basic but a great atmosphere with good levels of service. Quite expensive for... More

Ok here it is in a nutshell: yes it is expensive.. Yes the service isn't in par with the food quality on busy days. But hands down THE best fish and food in town. And best thing about IT, you don't have to dress up to eat there! We were lucky on the 2 occasions we ate there (open only... More

I knew it was going to be expensive and certainly not disappointed, luckily I was being treated, food great and also the wine, no change from 200 euros, but somehow the best meal we have had this week, would love to go again

The fish was extremely fresh and well cooked, that was it. Plus the view is fantastic! We had some clams that were too greasy, the desserts were normal and the Sangria was terrible (not acceptable when you want to charge these sort of prices). The service is slow and not very professional. All in all, definitely not worth what it... More

This is one of my favourite places in the world. The food is simple, fresh, well cooked, if expensive for what it is. but I don't care. I like the vibe and the views and the chilled house rosé. I like the walk on the bridge across the Ria Formosa to get there. I even like the service, it might... More

Go, enjoy the food, but don't expect to be indulged. Nice venue, nice crowd, get the feeling it's been a long summer and they are all a bit tired of it all. Shame.

The arrogance of this place defies belief. A classic beach-front monopoly where no competition breeds arrogance. You must book in advance. All tables have daft small umbrellas above them (dozens of umbrellas!) The waiting staff are rude. They don't care. The food is OK, all seafood, nothing else (not at all good for kids). It's not cheap either. You're much... More
