Nice food, friendly people, helpful. We had the Greek salad with local cheese, tzaziki and Imam, an aubergine tomato dish from the oven.

This is our favourite day-to-day eating place in Batsi. Maria cooks up a storm, and George and Alexandra run the place very efficiently and with a wonderful friendly attitude. Lunches and dinners are always good - fish soup, goat, fourtalia, all sorts of little specialities. It's great just sitting on the terrace looking at the sea. Great value and good... More

This was my favorite meal in Santorini. I ordered the turkey which is rare to see on most menus and it was delicious. We ordered several appetizers and dessert all of which were very good. The atmosphere had a family feeling to it. It felt very authentic and traditional Greek.

We live on Andros. We like to take visitors here and also dine quite often with friends as well. A family run restaurant which produces superb home cooking, it remains a great place to go. The menu is varied, full of traditional Greek & Mediterranean dishes. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and hospitable. Dining... More

There is no better place to stay in Batsi than the Kantouni. Kantouni is literally just across the road from the swimming beach of Batsi. It is only a few minutes walk from the bakery and rest of the town, and has wonderful views of the town from the balconies. The rooms are neat and clean. You can also sit... More

We had lunches and dinners at the Kandouni on numerous occasions this June. It was always good and sometimes stunning: the cheese pies and fish soup in particular were wonderful! And always good value! George and Alexandra are always friendly and efficient. The Kandouni really is our "go to" eating place in Batsi - it has a lovely outdoor seating... More

The Kandouni is on the opposite side of the bay from the port. It's right next to the beach. We were greeted by friendly waiters and given the menu. For starters we had saganaki and some little cheese pies. I had been wanting to try the local speciality, frutalia which is an omelette containing country sausages and potatoes so I was... More

Went to the Kandouni a few times as we usually went on the beach in front of that restaurant. Nice place, food ok, nothing special in my opinion, but the milk shakes are out of this world! The strawberry milkshake is delicious, worth a visit during the day just for that! Not cheap at 6 euro but worth ever penny... More

The place has a nice atmosphere and the welcome was very warm. The food was ok, but not amazing, same goes for the cleanliness of the place. We stayed over a week in Andros, but there were nicer places we went back to several times and that one was not on the list. All in all-ok place, but nothing more... More
