Fairly average food for a 5 Star Resort

Limited menu with a huge seating area. Probably more suited for families than romantic dinners. Better know for its buffet dinners and shows.

On Friday night, we indulged in a bountiful buffet dinner and watched a spectacular Polynesian dance show on the outdoor stage at Te Tiare restaurant. The dancers were amazing and involved the audience by inviting several guests on the stage to participate in the show and provided photo opportunities. The food was delightful and my favorite Polynesian dish was Poisson... More

Ate here many times during our stay at the Intercontinental. Wide variety of dining options and almost all meals were quite good and not as unreasonably priced as you might think for an Intercontinental Hotel in French Polynesia. Service staff was very good as well.

Its an average experience. There were insects on the buffet fruit. The local dance and singing show is entertaining in the evening. Service is fair. Breakfast was fine but average.

We stayed here twice at each end of a cruise. Breakfast was OK but generally the food wasn't good, particularly the Friday evening buffet which was poor. Whilst I appreciate that an open sided restaurant attracts flies and local birds, a system should be devised to keep the food covered to reduce that problem, it is very off-putting to approach... With our Intercontinental Club membership we were entitled to complimentary buffet breakfast in Le Tiare restaurant, a combination indoor/outdoor restaurant. Very attentive staff, pleasant atmosphere.

This is the restaurant of the Le Meridien Papeete Hotel. The food is really expensive, the place has a nice view and decoration, and the food was ok, but didn't have a relation with the cost.
