Five star for Tahiti

I give it five stars given the fact that every restaurant offers more or less the same dishes and charge more or less the same (high) price. To my surprise, the Lotus offers exceptional value for quality. Bearing in mind that we have been to all the starred hotels here and this one is good. The... read more

This restaurant was not impressive. The setting is nice, as it is in an over-water bungalow type area where you sit, and the tables get a nice view of the water. The service is average - while the waiters were helpful and all, the kitchen kept us waiting an inordinately long time for the appetizer and the main course. I'm... More

Nice setting on the water, good service, the liver and the steak were well prepared, but the creations on the plates were taste-wise very disappointing. We had the idea that none of the items on the plates added something special to the dishes.

Come here at lunch time but whatever you do, don't bother staying for dinner. We were seated on the waterfront, with the plastic blinds pulled down which simply retained the heat in the room and acted as a calling card for mosquitos. Why anyone would want to pay top-dollar for that kind of atmosphere I will never know? There are... More

Casual atmosphere, yet upscale food and environment. The food was good, the presentation very good. Not my favorite meal in French Polynesia, but very good.

We tried to get into here on our first night and it was full so booked for the next night. The food was absolutely beautiful and definitely the best we had in our two weeks in Tahiti. The atmosphere is casual but we thought the chairs and tables could do with a decent clean given the quality of the food.

Had dinner there twice during our stay in French Polynesia. Was really good food, great wine selection. Nice location right by the water, we were particularly impressed by the fish attracted by the light at our first night in FP.

Well worth dining here for the fabulous food, service and overall experience. We loved dining here in the over water bungalow, seeing fish swimming under the lights and soaking up the atmosphere. I had my first taste of guinea fowl here, which was divine. Hubby went for the scallops and they didn't disappoint. We choose to have a pot of... More

Magnificent location and setting. 3 Michelin stars! Food disappointing and bland whilst being pricey.
